No more of this garbage reporting that Troops, may have, might have, have a hunch that there is, heard from Saddams boyguards friends brothers uncles cousins dogs handler that there are chemical or biological weapons.

Then all that bullshit turns out to be nothing... well, nothing that is except news agencies trying to boost their ratings. Dammit frickin report on it when its confirmed.

/end rant

Our troops have been there for three weeks and somebody keeps trying to kill them. Their first priority is to neutralize the wouldbe killers. Finding WMD's is not the first priority yet.

I get tired of the news media hype, too. It isn't the military's fault.

This wasnt a critizism of the troops or our military by any means. It was a shot at the News media who jumps at every strand or half piece of information that can bring them in higher rating points.

Indeed what?, who expressed those ridiculous sentiments that moonie is spewing?

It was known that Iraq had weapons programs. All that is needed now is to be able to find those programs. After twelve years of being taught how to hide them by the UN inspectors it won't be that easy but they will be found.

Exactly, give some trained inspectors time while Saddam isn't around. Troops are for fighting not finding weapons. Damn you anti-was/anti-Bush people just loved to complain.

The mind of the anti-war/anti-bush person: "The war is over oil", "tens of thousands of innocents will be killed", "thousands of US troops will die in street fighting in Baghdad", "the Iraqis won't welcome us and hate us".......well since all of those complaints have fallen through we'll have to resort to "where are the WMD US/UK troops?? we gave you more than 3 weeks to liberate the country, find WMD while being shot at, and rebuild the entire nation and you haven't, we just want proof"

Im not anti war or anti bush, I am just sick of the media presenting all these "possiblities" as definate facts, just so that they can boost their ratings.

Hopefully everything will be over soon, our troops can come home, we get rid of the WMD hidden there, and help the Iraqis get off to a new start.

Gobad : The question being:
Stay in the effort to maintain peace and order and risk resentment(more), or:
Leave to avoid making people in iraq feel 'occupied', and thus risk chaos.

Some americans were committed to staying there the moment someone told Bush attacking Iraq was indeed a good idea.

Its going to be a while. Franks said its going to take up to a year to search 2,000-3,000 different sites where WMD's may have been worked on or stored. They are trying to get 20 done a day.

I gotta give Bush some credit. I thought he would have planted the WMD by now. But he is still trying to find it the natural way.
I think once they examine the whole place, if they don' find anything, they'll bring some stuff in.

Umm, I dunno: maybe because thats what this whole invasion/assassination has been predicated upon by the Bush Regime?
