Looks and plays like every other futuristic COD that has been released over the last couple of years.

They really need to start with a new graphics engine that's modern and go back to WWII era.

Sharing the same opinion...

I liked both the WW2 games, and Modern Warfare 4. I agree though, the futuristic games are terrible. Even MW2 and MW3 got more and more outlandish "plots" to the single player game.

To answer the OP, no, I am not getting the game. I would be "hyped" though if a shooter came out with a good single player campaign.

I pre-ordered it.

Me too, screw the COD haters, they act exactly like the food snobs over in Off Topic. No chain anyone has ever heard is worth feeding to their dog, no, they have some local crap hole that makes the best pizza/burgers/Italian/etc. on earth.

COD has sadly become mostly derivative, and I wish it would venture back to WWII, but that again would be retreaded material. COD continues on due to one important thing, it's one of very few games that truly has mouse look and movement fluidity nailed down properly like Quake and UT had. This is my main issue with the Battlefield games, all the pieces are there, I want to like it, they just don't "feel" right. It doesn't feel like I'm moving/looking about the map, it feels like I'm remote controlling a separate entity around the map. For all it's flaws (and I believe Activision -not the developers- will try to make it worse in anyway they can) it's still my go to game series for having fun with my friends/son.

The last COD I played was COD Modern Warfare which was pretty good, the 2nd Modern Warfare was mediocre and after that I never played another COD. They really need to go back to WW2 style, I really missed those games.

Got it pre-ordered.

My bread-n-butter for online shooter but I came from console so naturally, I prefer the instant gratification.

Still playing COD-AW and it's become a hack fest 70% of the time. Aimbots, wall spams, radar hacks. Players with no name other than "..".

Reminds me while console is not eye candy, the hacking/cheats are far minimal compared to PC.

But I love PC gaming so no going back to my peasant days:sneaky:.

Between this and Fallout 4, I'm set for winter.

.

I take it there are no player controlled servers with admins on COD-AW? You need admins on PC or it just doesn't work.

You're correct. There are no player controlled servers. No Admins, just the crappy anti-cheat system they use that's basically ineffective. Tons of hackers that has turned me off of COD on the PC. :(

Will this game have a single player with bots? I know it has a campaign but I'm looking for individual missions like Battlefield 2 and Battlefront?

Played the beta, got fairly bored with it. Don't like the futuristic shooters.

Same. The game seems to have outgrown me. Like a parasitic weed outgrown me. Blacks Ops 1 was awesome, and II was good even with the matchmaking crap.

Now it's just Quake 10 with military skins.

It's being gifted to me so I'll be playing for at least s few months. Between this, Legacy of the Void, Halo 5 and Eve-Online I'll be plenty busy with games.

I really enjoyed BLOPS 1 & 2, so I would confess being tempted. I haven't enjoyed a non-BLOPS CoD since CoD 4 and that was ages ago. (Bring back mod support!)

I would also say to SSingh75 that the hacking issue on PC vs console is a real issue, one which I feel is rarely talked about. However, the hackers are usually far worse on non-BLOPS games, such as AW. I got MW3 on Steam sale for like 5 bucks a few years back and just got it on the whim/for the lulz. Literally 50% of my games were littered with hackers. It was just a pointless experience.

I still play BLOPS 2 occassionally and it's rare to ever run into hackers - and I'm a PC only guy. So for this reason, I'd venture, if past is prologue, that BLOPS 3 will likely have far fewer cheaters than AW has now.

All of this being said, I'm guessing I won't buy BLOPS 3 for the simple reason that fall of 2015 is the FPS megafest. I'm already getting R6: Siege and Battlefront. This on top of my current favorites, CS and NS2. I even play BF4 from time to time since the devs are showering it with attention right now and fixing various aspects of it.

So that's 5 games within the next month or so. One game simply has to go for it to make sense and I guess that will be BLOPS 3. If the competition wasn't so stiff, I'd probably get it but right now it will fall to the wayside.

Another issue is that the scorestreaks(or whatever they are called) is something I never liked. CoD would be so much better off if they simply had the guts to remove them. Indirect killing isn't an CoD-only problem(mortars, UCAVs in BF for example) but in other games it's rare and non-gameplay wrecking. I do well in CoD but I still hate the steamstreaks. I want a cleaner experience(hence why we ought to have mod support again).

To be honest, I'm guessing the next CoD game will be WWII. But I want the next BLOPS game to be WWII. I'd rather wait yet another year and get BLOPS 4, WWII edition in 2017. This time with a much better/updated engine, hopefully.
