Leftie democrats are trying everything they can think of to get their voting base up.

Getting boys into the girls bathroom, who knows what might happen? Maybe a quickey in a stall? 9 months later you have another welfare baby that is going to be voting democrat in 18 years.

Conservative republicans have to go to work to support all of the welfare babies the democrats are pumping out.

Holy shit...you *can't* be serious?

So, all this time, the only thing preventing these "quickeys" and welfare babies is that boys "weren't allowed" into girls restrooms? (Not that your imaginative scenario is even applicable in this case...but we'll allow it for "leap of logic" purposes.)

Society has a problem.

It wants to recognize choice in gender. This requires changing the way we think about gender, including gender specific bathrooms.

You *honestly* believe that the motivation for this bill is to get boys into girls bathrooms, then for them to have sex, become pregnant, have a child, qualify for welfare, and spend 18 years grooming their child as a Democrat?

...and that *you're* the one that blew the lid off of this nefarious scheme?

The amount of "logical leaps" in that scenario is mind-bottling.

The irony being of course that they he would do everything in his power to prevent them from having an abortion. He doesn't seem to realize that more liberals have abortions than conservatives so that abortion in the long term is good for HIS side.

If the child has a severe birth defect, or will be handicapped for the rest of its life, I have no problem with abortions.

And since liberals and democrats are both handicapped and defective,,,, maybe they all be aborted.

The fears of the more conservative posters here are absolutely ridiculous. This is not going to lead to molestation.

However it's also pretty nutty of the CA legislature to make laws regarding a tiny minority within a minority that wants rules bent in their favor. If people are supposed to think it's no big deal to allow boys who think they're girls to use the girls restroom because physical gender doesn't matter, then why is unreasonable to expect people to think that using the boys room is just fine, because physical gender doesn't matter. This subjects supporters want gender to matter, except when it doesn't. Don't pay attention gender, it doesn't matter, except pay attention to gender, because it matters. Truly crazy.

You didn't even get the rest of the story. I was taking the bus back home from visiting a friend who moved. I get on the bus pick a cherry window seat and proceed to watch the thing fill up. Whole bus full and the only seat open is the one next to me.... guess who gets on the bus.

Its not really a political party, its a mindset. The mindset that we need laws to protect every little group out there.

Between California and New York, before long we will need a permit to take a piss.

I can understand gays wanting equal rights. Ok, now that they have it, its like society is going to have reshape itself in order to conform to a very small minority.

If bathroom access is a right, then what else is a right? I would like a 16 hour work week, I wonder if that is a protected right?

The transgender community has been dealt a hand in life. You play the hand you were dealt. Do not go around trying to change the rules to better your hand.

There is a lot of stuff about life I do not like. Do I get to demand society rewrite its rules to suit me? What about the next guy, does he get to demand we change the rules?

You tell me. Do you think it's OK given my example? Do you think its normal for small children to regularly be exposed in a public bathroom to the opposite gender? Your example is apples to oranges. I'm not even sure why anyone is engaged in this discussion....the premise of this legislation is ridiculous.

Hell, if it's alright for some boys and girls to share a bathroom despite physiological differences, why can't all boys and girls use the same bathroom? Go full unisex and end this debate entirely.
