I just did my rig but am cameraless at the moment, I opened up the case and disconnected everything, than realized I should've looked over this guide and refreshed my memory, so I just went on insticnt and had to use only 4 zip ties and nothing else (I have 7 case fans in my ThermalTake XaserIII case), it actually looks good and I can show off the windowed side again. I will soon be putting up the pics once my S3-IS gets here. This guide was a HUGE help.

I want to do this, but I change hardware/PSU so often... maybe, just maybe...

I'll definitely post pics if/when I get to it :D

Thanks for the inspiration though!

hmm... your case is alot like mine... hard to wire =p. I saw a few places you might be able to consolidate wiring.

Here's an edited pic of your case.

I'm also wondering why your ram are in the wrong config, try moving the 2nd stick one slot over, so the colors match to get dual channel performance. Of course i'm assuming those 2 sticks are identical, hard to tell from only top view of heat spreader =p.

Tell me what you think of this update.
I didn't have spiral wire wraps so i just used a couple zip ties.

As far as my RAM is concerned, on my mobo that is how the manual says to install it as dual channel, and in cpu-z is says that it's dual channel.

There, The 20Pin cable is still visible because I got no idea where it should go, that whole bar under the PSU os hollow on the inside so I stuck about 35% of the cables in there alone (all fan cables) the others that I dont use are behind the motherboard plating. I dont have any spiral wraps and this case was due so I did what I could, Now I want to know how I can light it up more and evenly as well. Pic with case closed. Best I could do, if there any more tips I would like to hear them.

Avi, great job. It looks much better now.

gcb, when you say light up the case, are you refering to when you take a picture? or permanently?

If you want to light it up during a pic, use flash or point a few lights directly at the case. If you want to light it up permanently, use cold cathode tubes.

my HSF leds eclipse the cathodes I have now, are there any other that are bright and will show even with the blue led's on. The closed case only accentuates the mess of cables beccause of the way the window is, I was so happy when I was finished because with the case open it looked very good compared to how it was before. I will see what I can do about it once I get my hands on it.

talcite, modders hq, the site that you linked to that had holly's wiring guide has closed. You wouldn't happen to have a copy of her guide would you?

If it were me i would use these

http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/...ain_page=product_info&products_id=3207

type IDE cable clips since you have two large IDE cables. I would try to run them together initially from the drives directly onto one single strand but doubled together so that it looks like it's one cable before seperating them to go into the IDE mobo connectors. Clip it to the back of the case with the open end of the clip pointing upwards (so that they will hang on it properly). I would actually clip them twice now that i look at it. I would pull them together in a straight pulling them downlward - then fold them over (origami them) and clip it both before that fold and then again after that fold as it points to the mainboard.

For the ATX PSU connector main i would use more zip ties on it in about 4 places all the way down to the connector itself. I would also twist it once or twice around before zip-tying to take some of the slack out of it as well. Then i would get some large versions of these
cable clamps for the atx connector to be situated in the back of your case

acegazda, unfortunately I don't have a copy of holly's wiring guide. Perhaps you could try messaging the forums admins in hopes of them bringing the guide back?

Will889, those look pretty useful, I'm just wondering how durable they are. As for keeping wire together, I really suggest the spiral wrap instead of the zip ties. Spiral wrap is reusuable, and it keeps wire together nicely. Oh and i'm kinda wondering if you know anywhere you could get those clips cheaper, cause 1 isn't alot, but when you're building a whole series of systems, the cost adds up pretty quickly.

Wokring on my Sonata II with an Ultra X-Finity PSU with FlexForce cables (they help a lot because of the way they are made) spent 2 hours on it already and I have no heatsisnk in there so it is easier to work, will have pics up within a few days, it is going to be the system in my sig. Feel too bad though cuz I wont be able to show it off since I dont have a side-window. Thanks guys.
Update: Changed to TT Swing, needed a case with a window, but the management in this case is a PITA.

Every image is atleast 800 KB's or so
Text, Text, Text, Text, Text, Text, Text, Text, Text, Text, Text, Text, Text, Text. Need some help with the SATA cables, the ones that came with my mobo are too long but angled on one end, I would like some black and short and if possible angled at both ends, about 7" should do the trick.
The USB cable running from my card reader is too short to be run somewhere else so it is left in such plight.
The IDE cables are the best I could do.
The unnecessary PSU cables in the back (behind the motherboard plating) but the junk still show up there near the PSU so I put black electric tape on it(should I remove it?) the 24 pin has also been run from the back coming out a hole in the side of one of the 5.25" drives, the 4-pin has been run from behind the PSU.
The front panel LED/Power/Reset/Speaker connectors have been made so the 120MM fan space is now cleared (have some Yates on the way) one of the USB cables come to the bottom of th case hiding under the edge of the mobo, the other goes from above the mobo to the connector near the Heatsink.
The HD rack has the HD's in backwards (took some modding of the rails to do so but the SATA cables are still a mess (need short ones). There are 2 blue lighted fans were added to the cage to help cool the drives (both were running at high 50's prior to fans and now stay in lower 40's (though the top fan seems nearly useless so I am thinkning of removing it once the 120MM intake arrives and is in place). Help will really be appreciated.

What I do. I hide all the wires ofcouse and for the ones I cant I warp around my screw driver which makes a spiral shape. I can only do it to some.

Hope you will post some pictures of the wiring soon. I also just bought the P180 along with a 6600 on an ASUS P5W DH Deluxe with een Antec NeoHE 550 PSU.

I wonder how hard it will be to get the PC nicely wired.
