Cabinet Members In Discussions To Remove Trump As President By Invoking 25th Amendment

Well it's 45% of voters, and they are somewhat evenly spread throughout GOP districts. So every GOP senator has many of these who would be angry with them and calling them if they did anything against trump. And many probably primaried from the right. I guess even now maybe 4-5 GOP senators would vote for any type of removal of Trump? Maybe 10 of them, tops?

Then make them go on record as supporting the coup. Pelosi should have already impeached him this morning.

So 2 weeks left and they throw him under the bus 25th whatever everything.
Say this shit went down 2 years ago over some other shit... would they still suddenly find their souls?

I think so.

Seeing the U.S. Capitol sacked by a bunch of goobers on the orders of the President can change a lot of minds.

Well, except for the likes of sub-human goons like Hawley, Gaetz, Gohmert et al.

LOL HAHAHA 🙄 🙄🙄
The FBI and DC police are "ASKING" for the public's help in identifying photos and video of those involved in the riot(s).
PICTURES you say??? PHOTOS you say???
Ok... Here You Go....
Do I get my $1000 reward now ????
Oh, I knew his administration would be a catastrophe start to finish. The details were fuzzy. Nobody had 2020 vision on what was going to happen, including you.

You maybe not... BUT I DEFINITELY DID. Simply read my posts from day one starting with 2015.

.... This is retarded even for you.

I can only imagine what that clownbaby is mewling. I'm guessing its something about OMG the antifas/BLMs? It was those dastardly kids making him become a Nazi because they were gonna walk on his grass!

And? Those people have already been saying those people were against Turmp and been threatening those GOPers for some time now, and now they see they'll make good on those threats. That's why they'll vote to remove him because if they don't that situation isn't going to improve for them.

Hawley, Gaetz, Gohmert, Brooks, that new crazy congresswoman from GA, all examples of the disease that infects the GOP today. The symptoms are denying reality and a craven push for money and power.

Oh wow, simply oh wow.... over at Fox News tolerating the talking heads claiming Trump DID GOOD THINGS and that they would support a 2024 Trump for president. And Mike Pence's leadership WAS GREAT during this. And that Donald Trump's response "A LITTLE LAX, AND COULD HAVE BEEN MORE FORCEFUL". Obviously, still drinking the Koolade. But seriously, what else would you expect from a CULT ???

Loeffler lost and cited this situation as why she's recognizing that Biden absolutely won the election.

Would they have the votes???

Actually having the votes is pretty much irrelevant at this point since Trump has less than 21 days in office all they would have to do is sit on it and delay the vote. It becomes moot on the 20th at noon anyway.

Tough to see much of a downside.

It's not wholly irrelevant! He can be impeached/convicted even after leaving office and loses all eligibility for future office if convicted. (And if they had the votes in Congress for a removal via the 25th, they have enough to impeach.)

Valid point ... I was only thinking "survive till Biden" not payback time.

Hindsight and all, but if the Senate had taken impeachment for extortion seriously in early 2020:
Mike Pence would have been President for most all of 2020.
Hundreds of thousands of Americans would still be alive.
Pence likely would have won election.
Pence would not have drawn historic numbers of voters explicitly AGAINST him.
Republicans would hold the Senate.
Republicans possibly would hold the House.
Pence would probably win re-election in 2024.

Instead, the Senate treated it like a farce and now Republicans have killed hundreds of thousands of Americans, lost all three branches of government, contributed to the slow death of democracy, and STILL face having to turn against the unindicted co-conspirator.

The American left is so fucking blind to the danger Trump is and has been. It sickens me hearing us ever since the election try to play off Trump's power grab to become king as oh it's just a con to raise money from the stupid rubes. Seems like almost none of us fucking take Trump seriously even after four years of seeing Trump is dead serious every single time he floats a terrible idea out there.
Wonder how many perfect phone calls he has had

However... A WARNING.
So, SO many opportunities missed to remove this wack-o president from office. If the 25th amendment is NOT enacted then yet another opportunity missed. And THIS IS extremely dangerous to NOT use the 25th amendment simply because.... Donald Trump is still president and THAT will continue on for another some 12 days.

COME-ON CONGRESS.... if you had a burglar inside you house robbing you of your valuables, would YOU give that burglar 12 more days to continue to burglarize you before calling the police? And.... with "hoping" that within those 12 days this burglar will not turn to killing your family? SERIOUSLY, CONGRESS ????

I don't know if Pense would have won Trump got the base would traditional republicans return without all the excitement? I told people 4 yrs ago b4 Trump won he could cause he's preaching a message a lot have been looking for
I'll give Loeffler some credit for finally distancing but really its late to the party. A whole lot more soul searching necessary for the rest

I don't know if people realize just how perilous our situation is right now. At least by invoking the 25th and/or issuing articles to impeach the rest of the government would KNOW what and who and HOW to conduct regular business with presidential powers in the current state we see. It was reported that White House Lawyers are telling staff not to do what Trump tells them to do for fear of being co-conspirators, Pence and Congress had to issue the order to direct the National Guard last night, who really has Presidential powers/authority right now? do we know? And this is just the stuff WE KNOW ABOUT. Who has Presidential Authority over our military? Indian sea? Iran??

I can't believe I woke up this morning and didn't see articles of impeachment already in the house.

I figure that the unindicted co-conspirator got more votes for President in 2020 than any candidate in 2016 or earlier. It just so happens that he motivated people who hate him to turn out in larger numbers and his opponent got more voted for President than any candidate in 2020 or earlier. Had the unindicted co-conspirator not been in the 2020 race his replacement likely would not have received as many votes, but his opponent DEFINTELY would not have.

A run-of-the-mill Republican Pence candidate, running as an incumbent who navigated a global pandemic, would have had a smaller dropoff in votes from the unindicted co-conspirator than a milquetoast Biden would have had. How many people have expressed sentiments similar to "I don't like Biden but I'd vote for a stale bagel over Trump?" In a normal or slightly below normal voter turnout election year Biden and Congressional Dems would have been thrashed.

I mean, isn't that the Republican strategy? "We only win when people don't vote?" Pence would have ensured that millions would have stayed home.
