awesome. You can definately hear the engine though which is a good thing in my book. I was surprised at how torquey the motor is even for a VTEC.

Now I won't be some uber fan-boy and say it rules all. The bimmer, G35 and TL all should be driven and investigated.

I picked the one that felt right to ME, which of course might not be right for everybody. The interior is very refined and good legroom in the rear.

Tomorrow I'm testing both the manual TL and TSX. A week ago I drove an auto TSX and I'm prepared to be surprised by the 6 speed.

I own a TL Stype and an SVT Lightning.... THe TL is a nice economical car.... But a BMW is a driving machine. If I could have swung the extra 20k or so, I would have gotten a BMW 540i.

Good Christ no. It was among the slowest of the bunch. It's insultingly slow actually. If somebody is looking for a sports sedan and spends $35k on a 325i it's quite evident that the sports part of the equation is not important to them. So it feels a touch better and more solid around the corners than the TL...it takes an hour to get to the corner in the first place, and in real world (at lights or on the highway) it would get slain like a filtlthy whore by any number of the competitors there - especially the TL/G35. It's a sin that the TL lost to the 325 in this, and evidence of C&D's being BMW's bitch.

Actually, the 325 was the third fastest to 60 and tied for third fastest in the quarter (it basically led the "peloton", the TL and G35 were easily faster than everything else).

Everyone talks about twisties, but I'm not going to test the limits of my sweet handling 240sx on a narrow mountain road. I'd rather not destroy it on a guard rail.

mm.. i like the TL. I like the Bemer too, but my friend has a 325i, and he says it isn't peppy at all. He complains that he shoulda got the 330, but the price difference was pretty big.

I luv the G35's, but, to me, looks wise, the G35 SEDAN fails. the Coupe looks like a Zillion times better, i can't believe it would even be the same design team.

In any case, overall, i'd say the TL is best because it is peppy, and it looks good.
