I'm glad there are so many cursive haters. They told us it would be useful and fast too and you know when I switched I could print just as fast. Now cursive is just ghey.

I guess I'm just different.
I dont even use cursive for my signature. I print my signature.
Computers are better," the 9-year-old says, blonde pony tail bobbing behind her. "With typing, you don't have to erase when you make a mistake. You just hit delete, so it's a lot easier."
Such attitudes are worrying to a growing number of parents, educators and historians, who fear that computers are speeding the demise of a uniquely American form of expression. Handwriting experts fear that the wild popularity of e-mail, instant messages and other electronic communication, particularly among kids, could erase cursive within a few decades.

I use a combo of print and cursive for my sig. The first letter of my first and last name are printed caps and the rest of both names are cursive, sort of (it's actually just squiggly lines impossible to decipher).Originally posted by: Gaard

See ya Won't be too soon for me! I haven't had to "write" since I was in elementary and I switched from writing to printing in late junior high. Every year or two I try and see if I can still do it and I can't really.
I know very few adults who use cursive even when they do write - and most seem to prefer a computer nowadays anyway. What a waste of time it was learning it.
Of course my printing is getting uglier by the year. I'm now down to about grade 2 (or less) quality in how my printing looks but it doesn't cost me a minute of sleep. I don't understand why people fight inevitabilities which are, in fact, no even bad. This is one such case.
