Actually, and this is I'm sure different for most people, Roadrunner charges a modem rental fee of $5 regardless of wether you own the modem or not 😕

true. i pay $40/month, and have a dial-up isp (work for a local 1, free service), and i still pay the monthly fee for cable. some things i just cant give up. i promised myself i would shoot myself in the foot first before reverting back to dial-up.
