CsG isn't about to admit that the SBVfT ads are part of the Bush campaign, or that Karl Rove has employed such tactics from Bush's first campaign to the present day, even though the evidence is painfully obvious. So, to him, it's a loaded question, but more importantly, carries implications he'd rather not deal with, at all. In its present form, the question just lets him off the hook.
When any candidate's campaigns leave a trail of slime like the bush campaigns, time after time, it's not a coincidence, but it's not exactly proveable, either, even given the fact that Bush has never denounced any smear campaign that attempted to damage one of his opponents, no matter how vile or reprehensible, not even when it was waged against a member of his own party.
