Only a hateful person would draw the conlcusions from his statement that you did. As I demonstarted in my repsonse above to charrison, his statement was about the cost of war is still heavy on those that survive. Its been discussed in the media.

Right, and some in the media and elsewhere have been "upset" that these living people weren't counted in the body count amongst other agenda whining. Now again, if conjur didn't intent to imply that -then he is free to say so - but he has chosen not to. I guess when you have a band of apologists deflecting for you one can stay hidden. It's not really as big of deal as you all are trying to make it. It would have dropped the instant conjur answered/clarified.

As for the killing pregnant women, I just used your model for trashing people. you said in a previous thread abortions were wrong. Particularly, you said partial birth abortions were always wrong. They are often used to save the mother's life when a delivery is endangering the life of the mother. Therefore you are for killing those pregnant women.

Is my assertion ridiculous. Absolutely! But no more than your line of reasoning claiming conjur wants our soldiers to come back in body bags just because he reffered to a stat demonstrating the cost to our society is so much more than the number KIA shows.

My point still stands - some do use those sorts of statements - conjur has not stated differently. Does that mean he thinks that? no. But that might be the reason for the question/clarification - to separate him from the deluded freaks that would do such, no? Again, do I think he is one of those freaks? personally no, I think more of him than that -but it doesn't mean I can't ask the questions or seek clarification.

There are people that indicate they want the death totals high, but no one drew those conclusion about them because they were upset about how many people were coming home amputated. They drew those conclusions from much more compelling evidence. Your arguement is the equevalent of calling your wife a whore because she wears a shirt that shows her belly button.
