Why are you evading the question, Cad? Would Jesus continue your hateful attacks? Answer the question so this issue can be put to rest. WWJD? The issue would be over if you'd just answer the question. It is a valid question given your past and the positions you've taken. I'm just trying to clarify to remove doubt. How do you reconcile your hateful and dishonest behavior with Christ's teachings?
My questions aren't attacks first of all.
Of course they are. But no, he wouldn't continue hateful attacks no matter who was doing the attacking. However you must keep in mind that my questioning conjur is not a hateful attack.
Of course it is.
Now exactly how do you reconcile your dishonesty with Christ's teachings?
Kindly show me where I have
claimed to be a good Christian. I am a former fundamentalist Christian who became disgusted and disillusioned by the hypocrisy of people just like you. I found too many self-proclaimed good Christians were really total a-holes in their daily lives, using their "faith" to excuse their appalling behavior -- much like the Bush administration, in fact.
You have falsely not from my perspective, maybe you should take a closer look at yourself accused me of hateful attacks and you continue to choose to be ignorant of the issue at hand WTF?. Are you not guilty of the same you are accusing me of? Why sure you are - not that you'll look in the mirror and admit it though.
Interesting that you proclaim your innocence, yet insist I am guilty ... given that I used the same words and phrases that you used to attack Conjur. That was my point, of course, to turn your own attacks against you to highlight your hypocrisy. It worked exactly as expected, though I'm confident you'll offer some twisted rationalization to "prove" how it's different.
Again since you seem so interested in this issue - why don't you answer the questions conjur wont answer?
CsG
Why? Because it pisses you off. Because it amuses me to watch your self-righteous rants and your contorted denials. Because it is an exceptionally repugnant personal attack, even for you.
And who says a good Christian has to be a fundamentalist? That's right- they don't.
And??? Kindly point out where I said otherwise.
I don't go to church because I too became disillusioned with the hypocrisy. That however doesn't change the faith I have in God - it affected the faith I have in some of those who preach his word. So anyway Bow -we truly aren't different in this respect
I think we have more in common than you realize. I noticed a comment from you about all the computers you have, for example, and mentioned to my wife you sounded like me.
My politics were also similar to yours when I was around your age. I have drifted farther and farther from the right because, much like the "good Christians" I mentioned before, I've become disgusted and disillusioned by the malfeasance some prominent Republicans. I believe the Republican party has been largely hijacked by self-serving liars and crooks who have abandoned conservative principles to enrich special interests. The Democrats are guilty of this as well, of course, but they haven't been able to keep up with the Repubs, in my opinion. Consequently, I usually vote for third party candidates unless one of the big two is especially good, or especially repulsive.
yet you try to lump me into the group I distrust.
I seem to remember you making comments embracing Christian fundamentalists and their actions. I do not remember specifically why I have that impression, nor do I have any idea how I would search for it. If I'm mistaken, I apologize. My point, however, was to give you a dose of your own medicine, using the same words and phrases to malign you that you were using to attack Conjur. You obviously didn't like it. Perhaps you now understand why such attacks are wrong.
Well, did you or did you not make that claim that my questions were a hateful attack?
Yep, and I sincerely believe it. Apparently so do most others here.
You seem to know my intentions and put your own spin on them. I on the other hand asked conjur questions hoping he'd clarify his position because the way he posted could give the appearance that he supported more deaths. He has had ample opportunity to set the record straight and it's amazing that he hasn't stepped up to the plate to clarify the issue.
It's not amazing at all. As several have pointed out, including Conjur IIRC, there is no obligation to respond to such repugnant attacks. To insinuate that anyone here wishes more American soldiers had died is extremely offensive unless you have overwhelming and exceptionally clear-cut evidence. It's a slimy tactic often used by this administration; one of the many reasons I have no respect for and do not trust Bush & his minions.
Why? because you seem so interested is why? Why don't you help clarify things? Take a shot - I answered them with ease and provided a template for conjur to answer.
See above.
*shrug* So be it. Continue your ignorance of reality if you wish [ ... ]
So be it, indeed. It would be a wonderful opportunity to reflect on what you've done and offer Conjur an apology. Many here, myself included, would be willing to give you the benefit of the doubt and accept that you didn't really understand how offensive your insinuations were. The choice is obviously yours.
