There are no health care cuts for veterans. Bush's proposal is to increase the co-payment cost from $7 to $15 with a $250 annual buy-in program ONLY for veterans who are in the upper and middle classes whose disabilities are not service related. Bush is asking for $71 billion for the Department of Veterans Affairs in the next fiscal year, up nearly 50 percent (from $48 billion) when he took office.

I guess it depends. State (ie the people) controlled economic initiative. Plus, part of the Nazi party's programs during the 20's included redistribution of income, profit sharing, pension increases, and free education. That may have been done to appease the people but those all are socialist initiatives.

What the nazi party represesented before AH took it over is apples to oranges to what it grew to be. It was like 20 guys gettign drunk an talking about stuff before it became what is now known as national socialism when hitler came into the picture.

Also, keep in mind that last year's budget proposal from the WH included the elimination of 13 programs. Congress kept funding for 12 of those programs.

If you look at the Bush record he's largely given lip service to the major problems (Iran, Korea) . . . pushed an idiotic political agenda with another (HIV/AIDS) . . . and made one terrible problem horribly worse (Medicare).
It's pretty plain that Bush is the threat. Essentially the whole world has realized it except for a few token leaders of democracies (Blair, Aznar (oops), don't forget Poland, Koizumi), Israel, and fascist/totalitarian regimes the world over that are following in Bush's foot steps. Talk about a legacy . . .

On the contrary, my dear ignorant friend, Fascism and Socialism are but two sides of the SAME philosophical coin. One declares man to be the property of the State (Fascism) whereas the other declares him to be property of Society (Socialism). BOTH ideas disregard all notions that an INDIVIDUAL has rights by virtue of nature. BOTH are more than willing to snuff out anyone who dares to stand in the way of their "ideals".

You're full of crap, buddy. Fascism and Socialism are brothers of the same school of thought. Both entail the individual as "owned" by an external entity, BOTH reject the rights of the Individual, BOTH reject private property, BOTH have laid waste to entire civilizations.
Don't try to idealize Socialism, not even in the face of Fascism. Both are intruments of great evil.

If Bush had actually wanted to cooperate, we very well might have a much more effective network looking for the likes of Bin Laden and such. Remember him? No? Well neither does Bush to listen to his SoTU speech. I am all for going after terrorists. We decided to have a war instead.
Your problem is that you can't keep your bad guys straight and remember what they are actually guilty of.
Better to have a war and a pissing match with Europe than a rational, coherent and cohesive effort against terrorists. It makes your international penis seem so big.
