Its just the atheists feeling left out. :(

Too bad for them.

Bush is a good Christian. Im voting for him. :)

Jesus would be rolling over in his grave if he had one over the perception of what constitutes a 'good' Christian nowadays.

This makes no sense. Jesus rose from the dead. So, I presume you are atheist / agnostic and are making a genaral attack against 'good Christians' because you are disgruntled over said lack of faith?

Is there such a thing as a good atheist?

;)

2 Corinthians 11:13-15
For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.

I am a Christian, and I am more appalled about the current state of 'Christianity' than any atheist could be because of that very fact.

Matthew 7:1 - Judge not, that ye be not judged.

Noone said your faith determines your politics. I disagree with you however, Bush has said he relies on belief in God to perform his duties

yes thats why he had campaigners send out letters to southern churchs to get them to organize congregations to get the vote out for bush....... you wanna dispute that one

And Kerry one-upped him by responding that all things are from God, very accurately!

Each debate leaves me with a different thought. At the final debate, it left me terrified with the thought that the presidency could be Kerry's.

Too many people stop there.

Matthew 7:2-3
For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?

Hypocrisy is yet another symptom of the disease that seems to have afflicted much of contemporary Christianity.

I guess that goes to all the Muslim haters out there right?

HA!!

I'm an atheist and I follow Christ's teachings more closely than does Bush!

How can you follow Christ's teaching if you're an atheist? Is there a new breed of atheist these days, perhaps Christheist?

I didn't say I follow them all. I stick to the golden rule and believe that killing people in order to give them freedom isn't what Jesus would want to see.

I guess you feel pretty comfortable with the Muslims. Liberals, looking for something to whine about always play the religion card.

If anyone wants to talk religion, how about talking about the religious war the Muslims are waging against the rest of the world.

Anyone that takes policy advice from God is not worthy of my vote, because God does not interfere in our lives. Apparently "God" speaks to Bin Laden and Bush at the same time. Who's right? I'd wager it's the devil talking to both. (this is not sarcasm btw.)

Lincoln said it best

"We trust, sir, that God is on our side.
It is more important to know that we are on God's side."

Hmm....Not a very Christian thing to say:

http://www.drudgereport.com/flash2rs.htm
A QUOTE ATTRIBUTED TO PRESIDENT BUSH IN NEXT SUNDAY'S NEW YORK TIMES HAS IGNITED PREPUBLICATION SPARKS, THE DRUDGE REPORT HAS LEARNED.

FORMER WSJ REPORTER AND BEST-SELLING AUTHOR RON SUSKIND QUOTES BUSH AS TELLING A PRIVATE LUNCHEON OF TOP SUPPORTERS: 'I'M GOING TO BE REAL POSITIVE, WHILE I KEEP MY FOOT ON JOHN KERRY'S THROAT.'

SUSKIND, A REGISTERED DEMOCRAT, WILL CLAIM BUSH MADE THE COMMENTS LAST MONTH IN WASHINGTON.

A SENIOR BUSH CAMPAIGN STAFFER EXPLAINS THE BUSH COMMENT IS JUST TEXAN FOR 'I'M NOT GOING TO LET HIM DODGE HIS LIBERAL RECORD.'

THE STAFFER ADDED, 'SUSKIND IS JUST ONE MORE ANTI-BUSH JOURNALIST.'

DEVELOPING...

Suskind, of course, was the recipient of mounds and mounds of documents and CDs from Paul O'Neill.

His sermon didn't really scare me. Him and Kerry are both full of crap. What scares me is someone out there got a woody when he said it.

What is this, a thesis? I just hope to learn to read someday. I would be in real trouble if I didn't know how to use ctl C, ctl V, and spell check.

No, but this one was. I wasn't in the crusades, were you? It would have been some fun. How bout Salem and the witch hunts, the Catholic church and the inquisition? Those are history, this ain't!

It's about not spamming the forums. You created 3 posts in 4 minutes, each one with 1-2 sentences in it. It's not that hard...

I agree, his zealotry is perhaps the most frightening aspect about him. As long as he doesn't impose his religion on me, I can just turn away and laugh at him and pity him and those that follow him. What I truly fear most is that he might attempt to create or integrate a theocracy in America. That can only lead to impeachment, assassination, or revolution.

 That sums up Bush's "brand" of (false) Christianity very well.

Matthew 7:1 - Judge not, that ye be not judged.
Yes, that applies to Bush as well, with his dastardly lies about Kerry.

I'd wager you are probably right. Satan has as much influence on this earth as God does. A lot of contemporary Christians don't give the devil his due in this regard. Every 'divine' influence they see is automatically attributed to God, and the great deciever I am sure is having a huge laugh over it. The book of Job in the bible addresses this quite plainly, and another book, The Gospel According to Job by Mike Mason, which gets two big thumbs up from me, discusses this as well as many other things relevent to Christianity as it is today.
