Scared you? You must be liberal. Anything that would advocate decent morals scares them :(

Jesus would be rolling over in his grave if he had one over the perception of what constitutes a 'good' Christian nowadays.

You should have watched the Frontline show on the candidates. Bush's whole Pat Robertson, Evangelical thing scares the crap out of me too. He's wacked.

This makes no sense. Jesus rose from the dead. So, I presume you are atheist / agnostic and are making a genaral attack against 'good Christians' because you are disgruntled over said lack of faith?

Is there such a thing as a good atheist?

;)

What if he spouted off hatred for Christians like you do? Would that make you happy?

I'm Christian and I think Bush is a horrible Christian and advocates the picture he is a man of faith to push forth his and the rights agenda.

Noone said your faith determines your politics. I disagree with you however, Bush has said he relies on belief in God to perform his duties.

No go vote for Kerry.

I don't beleive Jesus is happy with Bush. The New Testament has numerous references to false believers in the end times. And in Matthew it says we will know Christians by the fruit that they bear. I think Bush is taking advantage of a lot of well-meaning Christians that are supporting him solely on the basis of abortion. I think the war and the lies and the favoring of the rich tell us more about him than his profession of faith or his stand on abortion.

I believe Bush is perfectly honest and sincere. Although I'm not religious, I can respect religion and those that are.

In my opinion, most Bush haters -not the people who just think he may be wrong on something, but the true haters- hate Bush because of his religiousness. Iraq, jobs, EVERYTHING, is mainly a rationalization for their fear and hate of his being religious. In my experience, the extreme haters have a deep, real suspicion of religion that overrides anything.

Well said...and actually, there seems to be an unrising with some Christian faiths (I think even Catholics) these days over this very issue (i.e., it's not correct in keeping the Christian faith to judge the morality of politicians solely on the abortion issue and other important issues like homelessness, etc. need to be considered).

2 Corinthians 11:13-15
For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.

I am a Christian, and I am more appalled about the current state of 'Christianity' than any atheist could be because of that very fact.

How can you follow Christ's teaching if you're an atheist? Is there a new breed of atheist these days, perhaps Christheist?

I find Bush to be homely, but very crass. I don't find him to be very sincere. I think he truely believes in his actions and policies, no matter how warped. He's a country bumpkin right down to his knickers
