Firing because of the finger not politically motivated? Also funny, but possibly defensible depending on terms of employment, etc., only because of the kids involved. Also, why not call for the discharge of the soldiers who sent Kerry a message publicly in uniform then? Obviously they're out of line, and obviously they're dumber than posts for doing so, and shouldn't be in uniform, etc.
