I know this has been asked already, but did you submit the Best Buy page to Amex as it was, with it saying that they are no longer taking orders? I will be calling and checking on my PM tomorrow, 4/3. Thanx.

Chrisjor, don't worry. I submitted the Best Buy page to Amex as it was and got the $250 check in 10 days. Actually
it was approved two days after I submitted it by fax. You can check it 3 or 4 days after you submitted it.

I printed out the page w/ TV in my cart, and went to CC. The manager was comeplete A-hole. He said he would not match it b/c it was online only. I showed him that BB.com has an option for in-store pick-up so it is a local competitior. He then told me that he wasn't going to " just give me 300 bucks of a TV". I said wtf, you hav a price policy and you have to go by it. He said it was his discreation, and to go to BB and by it. So I left, ,and on my way home I stopped in at Hifi-Buys, and tried and they DID IT!!! Only think none in stock. He then said they had two floor models and I could have one at that price. I said Yes, and I must say the picture is awesome!! Thanx again.

thanx Janeson, I am very worried!!! This TV is just so damn awesome for this price.....I would hate to bring it back!!! I am kicking myself for not buying 2 of these babies!!!! Oh well, I will save that money for an HDTV!!!

I had a DVD player laying around not hooked up, it has found a home and it fits perfectly!!!

I had sent a fax to AMEX and when I called to check today, they told me that the text was fuzzy and could not verify. I resent another fax today and we'll see what happens. I am nervous, though. I may end up mailing it to them, or something if this one doesn't look good enough to them either.

You might notice that most pureflat TV's have a slight convergence problem at the eges, and maybe some slight image warping around the corners, this is due to the way the tube is flattened out, instead of the usual rounded tube... so it's hard to make a perfect flat picture. You bitch about that, and they will try to fix it, but if they can't, they give you a new Sx11, but because its discontinued (even the sales rep told me), they will give you the next higher model...


Then again, could I have been fooled by that sales rep?.... maybe....

Wow...finally I got one. Tonight I went to CC again and asked a guy whom I could talk to about the PM. Then he told me to talk customer service staff directly. So I went to the customer service department and showed them chris's receipt. The girl checked the receipt and found the transaction, then sold it at the same price ($450). No hassle at all. Cool! Thanks a lot for guys sharing information here, especially to Janeson, Chris, and Johemiles.

I have had an Amex Blue for 2+ years and this is the first time I have used this benfit (kicking myself, what a major dumb@ss!!).

HOLY CHIT!!! My brother works at the Wiz, store manager. I called and asked him about the TV. It went Discontinued in February and said he can give me the floor model for $172!!!!! He is checking the condition of the TV right now. Very cool.

what do you guys think if I PM at circuit city after amex send a rebate. CC originally charged me 520 now that I can get them to PM 450 with the local Sears.

Would doing a PM at CC be in a direct violation with Amex pricematch policy?
