I used this forum to build a computer several years ago and after a few upgrades it has gotten to the point where it desperately needs to be replaced. It lasted 7 years.
So the kind of setup I'm looking to put together this time is:
Ryzen 5 2600
Radeon RX 5700 XT ASRock Challenger D OC 8GB
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB
GIGABYTE GA-A320M mATX AM4
Corsair VS Series 650W 80+ White
SanDisk SSD PLUS 480GB
Seagate BarraCuda 2TB Internal Hard Drive HDD
Cooler Master MasterBox Lite 3.1 mATX
Last time some people were incredibly helpful finding bundles and pointing out models or components that could easily be improved upon. From what I've been reading these are all pretty decent components. I just wanted to get a second opinion from the pros.
I will be using this computer for gaming and music recording. My budget is around a grand. But that also includes a new monitor as I have been using a 32 in vizio TV for about 11 years and it's time to swap it out as well. I'll be sourcing the parts in the US. 1080 resolution. No over clocking needed. I'm more concerned about function than looks. So is this a fairly decent setup? What would you suggest changing?
