The top was down as well...Why do they have the rear wing flap propped up on the Veyron? It increases drag and reduces the straight line speed.

...and by that logic you lose all credibility by having a monkey for an avatar. I drive a Legacy GT BTW....Also, the LFA runs a 1/4 mile in ~11.5, the GTR runs a 11.2 (http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/coupes/1102_2012_nissan_gt_r_test/viewall.html)...so if anything the LFA doesn't belong
"Supercar is a term used most often to describe an expensive high end car. It has been defined specifically as "a very expensive, fast or powerful car".Stated in more general terms: "it must be very fast, with sporting handling to match", "it should be sleek and eye-catching" and its price should be "one in a rarefied atmosphere of its own"."
GTR does have the speed, but it's.
1. Not rare (I see them around town all the time. I know at least 3 people who have them locally. How often do I see a LFA? Never)
2. Expensive? Nope, which is why you see them and they're not rare.
3. Sleek and eye-catching? lol, right. GTR is one of the ugliest sports cars around.
It may have the performance, but it is not a supercar. Period. So quit being a fanboy and bringing up your car. Watch the video and enjoy. It's about watching fast cars go fast, but about "waaaahhh my car wasn't there".
Not quite. What you described is an exotic super car. Cars such as F458, MP4C, Veyron, etc.
It's very simple, the GT-R is a super car because of its performance and relatively high price of $97k+. Same goes for a ZR1. They're not rare at all, but deliver levels of performance much above regular sports cars, so therefore it's a super car.
On the contrary, a relatively pedestrian 911 Carrera S is priced the same, but doesn't come close in terms of performance, so it's NOT a super car.

I'd take the Aventador but the sound of the LFA is amazing.
Really, that's the best troll you've got in you? Oh and while biochemists do alright, "my car" certainly isn't a GTR. It is, however, a 500+hp turbocharged AWD performance vehicle, much like the Aventador. It's not a matter of which is "my car" or not, it's what makes the most sense as a comparison here. I have simply mentioned that the LFA is the odd man out here. You really may want to go back and read what others have said as well there "fanboy".
I think y'all should agree to disagree. "Supercar" is an impossible term as it's very subjective by nature.
I don't find it unreasonable at all to consider the GT-R a "supercar" or to compare it to other more expensive models of fairly similar performance.
I also don't find it unreasonable to hold a view that the GT-R being sub-$100k and what, 10k units/year disqualifies it from "supercar" status, regardless of it's fairly epic performance characteristics.
Get it? Holding to one side and getting panties twisted over subjective issues just makes you look unhinged.
hey, let's take all these great handling cars and run them in a straight line instead of a track!![]()
Better yet, the ignore list, ahh I love that feature![]()
lol, grow the fuck up. It's like talking to a 6 year old kid who gets upset because he lost his blanket. No one is trolling you and it's pathetic you can't talk like a reasonable adult.
LFA sounds the best.
Otherwise, Italy > *.
If I could pick any two super cars, they would be the 458 Spyder and the Lambo.
What? These are super-cars, the GTR is not.
You lose all credibility with NISMO in your screen name......
The lamborghini is an audi though.
snip
So would you consider the Corvette z06 a supercar as well?
http://www.insideline.com/chevrolet...2013-nissan-gt-r-premium-comparison-test.html
GT-R best lap time was a 1:23.8
Corvette's best lap time was 1:22.7

They are around the same price optioned out and performance wise they are very close. So do those two factors make them supercars? No, they are not rare, ultra-high-end exotic sports cars.
So enjoy the video and let's quit arguing why some cars are not in the video. lol
There has to be something wrong with those times...there is no way a Z06 is faster around a lap than the GTR....
Why not?
SolMeister said:I dont believe the handling on the Z06 is up with the GTR, its certainly not as fast or as quick in acceleration.
The GTR has hydrogen in its tyre FFS, just to ensure tyre stability....
