Did you even read my post? They are to the right of every other first world country's conservative party. The democrats are middle/right at best. Their signature legislation was lifted straight from the republican's main think tank for christ's sake! I can't think of a single liberal bill they've past in 20 years...
in europe the democrats would be considered liberals in its European meaning, most probably of the radical current (modern meaning).
i.e. economically and tax-wise center-right, strongly for laicity, and usually socially liberal too, although not as much as social democrats. They're not like social democrats on social issues because they aren't as much into equality and that stuff, but strong opinions on gay marriage is typical of socialists and not of liberals here, liberals are more focused on the economy.
Actually the liberal-radical party in my country (traditionally a strong centre-right party, had absolute majority back in the day after they defeated conservatives, but then socialist, moderate christian and agrarian/bourgeois parties came) is bleeding votes because their views were edgy 100 years ago but nowadays no one except communists disagree with them anymore, so they feel soft and out of touch.
They definitely aren't to the right of all parties though because they're not strongly anti-immigration. Immigration is what defines right wing these days.
GOP would be considered far right because of their positions on social issues and views on taxes and services and israel. In several European countries parties with these views (they do exist) can't even get in the parliament. Also they would be in competition with neofascists who are still antisemite and don't follow the traditional conservative tax policy.
