The best tweak of all!

whats so great about mozilla?

That link is to phoenix...

It works in all OS's i work in, linux, BSD, XP... Tabbed browsing, UserContent.css, loads of skins and extensions for just about everything... there are other benefits but those are the main ones...

It's small enough too...

I wondered how long it would take for someone to post a way to uninstall IE. Third reply...I was betting on the second

Truth be told, I work tech support for a national ISP, and IE is about the most compatible, trouble free browser available. Especially with secure websites and ASP pages. I dread the words "I'm using Netscape 7 and when I go to fill in a form the screen is all jumbled..." :p

Uninstall IE?

That link is to a browser called phoenix, a small browser that fully supports both SSL and ASP...

I'll tell you what, link me to a page i cannot browse properly with phoenix, i have yet to see one...

I'm using phoenix in three different OS's, for general surfing, online banking etc... and have no problems with it...

What the hey ... mine are set to hexadecimal "a" ... which is decimal 10.
And I don't think I ever changed these settings, or ran net optimizer software.

For months now I have to suffer with IE5.x & 6 when surf for MS Greatplains Dynamics online help ASP web site & find that the browers periodically crap out, and it never perfectly render or load a page. Last week I decided to try Mozilla 1.4a at the same MS site and I was so surprise to find Mozilla render every page perfectly with the page translate from ASP to JSP (even those MS post on their site that it is only support IE5.x & 6). I then proceed to send MS a nasty email for the change that they have done to their web site that make things harder to find and a native browers that doesn't work as well as the open source Mozilla.

The week after next I will be attending a MS conference and Mozilla/opensouce vs. MS IE6 will be one of my question to ask them.

And for now phoenix is my brower of choice, because I just found that it is faster than Mozilla 1.4a.

don't see much difference here, but its a university connection which is fast as hell already.... though one person did say he was on a T3 and noticed a difference? can't imagine a big one as i don't really....

EDIT: however, using the bandwith test at cnet, my downloading speeds seem to have tripled or something.... so it definitely does work :)

Got lost in the instruction..

On the Edit menu, add the following REG_DWORD value names:
MaxConnectionsPerServer - The number of simultaneous requests to a single HTTP 1.1 Server. The default is 2.
MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server - The number of simultaneous requests to a single HTTP 1.0 Server. The default is 4.

When I click Edit, the pull-down menu shows "new, permission, delete, rename, copy key name, find, find next"....so which one should I click on?
