What you are essentially doing is launching a mini-DoS on every site you visit, if I am understanding this correctly. Doing it is not really a big problem but if everyone did it, I suspect that it would be somewhat of a problem.

You should be able to look in the .reg file, and delete those keys by hand (run regedit)

I open RegEdit and all I see in the window on right side is 'Default' and I see many different directories on the left column. Which folder do I enter?

Select HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Internet Settings on the left side, and the keys should be visible in the right part.

I have experienced more IE crashes after I applied this fix. And I haven't noticed the difference.

So, now IE caches the page until it gets the ENTIRE page and loads it all at once...its not really faster, but looks like it is.

I think I see it... the type is REG_ DWORD and there are two of them and data is 0000000000012(18). Can I just highlight and press delete?

No, it doesn't affect caching at all.

All the tweak does is enable IE to make many more requests to the server instead of the default 2.

For example, when you load a page at anandtech, IE needs to request each graphic on the page separately, plus another connection for the text, etc.

With this hack, it requests everything simultaneously instead of waiting for the current files to be finished and requesting whatever is queued up. It's not an illusion; it does make everything faster.

Yes. But I don't see why you'd really want to. You're not hurting anything and if you want it "normal" just switch it back to 2 which is default.

If people want to use alternative browsers, let them. I'm giving an opportunity to speed up browsing for people who don't want the hassle of installing a whole 'nother browser on their system.

This question has been asked and answered in this thread twice. It pays to read all the way through.
Just open up RegEdit, and delete the two entries made by the .reg file, or switch them back to the default of 2.
If you don't know how to do that, you shouldn't be messing with this file.
