Pardon the living hades out of me for attempting to build support amongst computer users for a computer user project.

Again - if you have some sort of problem with computer-related threads in a computer forum -- please feel free to ignore it.
Believe it or not... there are SOME folks here that are interested. If you're not - move on.

"Thread-crapping" is considered by the Anandtech moderators to be a relatively serious offense. I'm simply attempting to gain support for a "little-guy vs. big-guy" effort. (since there's been such vehement objection to the "David/Goliath" analogy.

Rest assured - the thread will be soon "unstickied" and you can soon return to your "bliss."

I refuse to have a battle of wits with unarmed men. Thanks to all the new participants who have joined up in a useful and truly scientific project. TeAm Anandtech appreciates you!

As I've mentioned before in other threads - the only reason I crunch SETI is to heat my room. If there's little green men out there, it's not going to be a bunch of geeks that find them, they're going to come down and knock.

We gained a HUGE number of new members with this recruitment -- and while it's annoying - I do appreciate the efforts of all involved.

I'll step off the threadcrapping if you step off the "membercrapping." Just because we're not geeking it up with the rest of the DC forum doesn't mean we're not as dedicated to this place as you guys. If there was an AT vs (forum) UT2K4 match, you can bet there'd be a lot of OTers stepping up at the call to arms. ;)

If DPAD is not for you (for whatever reason), check out any of the other distrubuted projects (we may be able to help with any issues you have that's keeping you from getting DPAD up and running), I'm currently crunching for TeAm seti, then will switch to F@H, but they do need help, I'm going to "burn in a new build for a couple of days, maybe weeks to help them, before switching it over to seti.

DanC is just trying to help a cause. If you don't like the cause, why bother posting? It is not hard to ignore a thread... I never whine about any of the ATOT meets, and those are stickied, and generally apply to only a few people in the area, while DC can be applied to anyone here. If you don't care, just click on another one of the 20 threads on the first page. Thats all you have to do. People may not be aware of DC, or these projects that need help, and these threads give lots of assistance to the project. I generally enjoy the community here, but some of the senseless bashing is just silly.

Thank you Mods for stickying this thread, our DPAD Team has grown a tremendous amount because of this :).

Amen. Exactly. People DO care, as evidenced by the dramatic increase in the number of users the past two weeks. From around 50 to 130+ in a matter of days!

Some people DO care. If you don't, please don't thread crap. It only makes you look like an ass.

I found your stats, this page isn't really good for any stats, but it seems to be pretty accurate. SlipStream was the best, but its been acting up lately. Sorry its the best I can do!

EDIT: amdxborg's daily stats. You are included in there as well.
