LOL at all the drama over a simple SD card slot. Digital cameras must drive some people mad.
Isn't it about time to revisit the exaggerated horrors of having a removable battery?![]()
You can cry and whine all you want. Fact is they don't want to spend millions to implement SD card and they are over charging idiots for additional internal storage.
You are beating yourself up for an SD card slot when there are simple work around. Very ironic. Perhaps you will get it some day.

I dunno, what are you going to do if Google goes out of business? So, what are y'all gonna do if SD Cards go away altogether?

I think the market is too large and non-phone devices use MicroSD. They will remain for sale for a long time I think.
So, it looks like they do sometimes peer deep into the underbelly!

because you shouldn't have to settle for shitty sd card performance when internal memory is faster and cheap. If oems started offering 64gb standard with no SD card, would you rather have that or a 16gb with sd card slot? Id take 64gb internal over 16gb and microsd any day even though technically you could get more storage potential from the sd cardhaving sd cards allows you to buy the cheapest version and have extra storage, why the hell wouldnt you do this
Dustin's comment on the article is right on the money.

having sd cards allows you to buy the cheapest version and have extra storage, why the hell wouldnt you do this. manufacturer's won't be putting out 128GB phones any time soon, and if they do, they will be charging an extra $200 for it. it makes me suspect that klug is supporting manufacturer cost cutting / padding their bottom line at the expense of consumers.
their rebuttal on anandtech is also pretty weak. as many have said it before, sony was able to put out a phone that was sexy, had a sd card slot and was waterproof. it didnt seem to have any design drawbacks to me.
I don't get why it's such a big deal whether the staff supports SD cards or not. But here we are, 11 pages in.
So how cheap is it to go from a 32GB iPhone to a 64GB iPhone?
How cheap is it to go from a 32GB HTC One to a 64GB HTC One?
If those phones offered uSD slot how much would it cost to add 32GB of storage?

I don't get this air of superiority from these people. It is just an sd card, and is useful for photos, videos, and other media. Is this how he thinks of his readers? The great unwashed masses that either can't afford the best, or don't think it is worth the money?

It's a discussion board, there's a discussion going on. The internet is not just for porn and LOLcats.
I mean we could just not care about their opinions and ignore them but as they are a review site they probably don't want that.
The debate itself (merits of SD cards in phones) was not the point of my post. I certainly don't feel like the objectivity of their reviews has been compromised in the least.
... Other people are not like me. I don't think they're wrong. This discussion is way too heated for what it is.
