Im so happy since I live in Mesa, Az and my city has turned into crime infested Illegal Mexicans !, Finally !, The invasion will cease !

Senate Votes to Build 370-Mile Triple-Layered Fence on Mexican Border !

They really need to expand that to about 1200 miles IMO.

As posted elsewhere.

They don't need a fence.

They need a WALL. At least 40 feet tall, with 40 feet sunk in the ground. An identical wall about 100 feet away with a minefield in between the two walls. Razor wire all around....guard towers every so often. And it needs to stretch the ENTIRE border of US/Mexico.

We ALSO need the same thing running the entire border of US/Canada.

Our borders are waaaaay too open and easy for terrorists to get in. It's time to lock them down good.

Oh, and are you saying that only people who work in the fields are only deserving of being called hard working?

oh not at all, im just saying since i bet you have a job in an air conditioned building workin on software or soemthing technical of that nature that you wouldnt want to trade jobs. who else is gonna do the work then?

Couldn't we invade Mexico if we found evidence that the Mexican government was involved?
over half of todays u.s military is of hispanic descent, you really think they would support such a dumb cause?
Why is it dumb? What's the purpose of the military?

well first of all look at how many hispanics are here in the u.s already. and look at whats across the border. when you look at it in a tactical perspective there isnt a clear border. it would be like fighting a war like vietnam.

also look at how thinly stretched the military is at this point in time. im not here to flame anyone i just would like to see more common sense in people instead of hate.

If it paid better, I bet the farmers wouldn't have any problems with labor.

oh just build a wall along all the borders and get it over with.

sheesh. ;)

(It would be interesting to see how people would react if such a thing happen were to be built on the mexico/usa border... I would almost expect violence of some kind)

how bout the immigrants who came from mexico legally. if it turns out there's really a shortage after the illegals leave, we'll change the number that's allowed to cross.

If it paid better, I bet the farmers wouldn't have any problems with labor.

if the prices of grain were jump a couple of dollars maybe farmers would pay better. the last i heard the price for a bushel of wheat (a bushel is roughly the size of a 5 gallon bucket) was at $3.00 with the price of diesel, seed, and maintenaince most are just barely breaking even. most also do it by employing labor from other countries that are willing to work at $6.00 or lower an hour.
so i suppose in order to fix this so called problem there needs many more things to be done, than just building a fence. for starters i think a better bracero law should be enacted.

Most teenagers will work farms for minimum wage just to have a job. Illegals are NOT needed.

even if there were an abundance of teens willing to work for min wage and doing far more labor than you would at say a mcdonalds. they wont stay there for long or are only part time, these guys need someone who is there morning till night year round.

Couple of questions for you..............

When is the last time you saw a mexican or anyone else harvesting wheat?

How much would a product cost if you doubled the pay for labor? Pick whatever product you like.

What percentage of farm labor is provided by illegals?

What percentage of illegals work as farm labor?

1. last 3 years i have driven combines, some farmers helped us by providing truck drivers or grain cart operators. my proof is in my website, there is also a video taken by myself driving a combine during corn harvest.
if you dont feel like searching here is one pic of me (in the background) HERE

2. as it is a farmer typically gets around 2cents out of every loaf of bread sold. i think the last loaf of bread i bought was around 2.50 or so. i would be willing to pay 50 cents to a dollor more to help the economy.

3. i dont know that answer but i can verify that in 80% of farmers ive dealt with south of nebraska have at least one person from a different country doing the harder labor.
4. same as above
