Nah, that's half the show, the kid big utterly useless when it comes to anything science related.

a little improvement in this episode but it was still frustrating to watch. it has been very boring so far and not interesting at all. the characters are always doing the opposite of what actual people would do. and i wish skylar would just die already

Yeah, the director is really slow playing this season. I hope it erupts in episode #3 with some action but I wonder if its the directors intent to make us uneasy and itching for action that hits fast next Sunday....maybe its just wishful thinking.

Still one of the best shows on TV right now.

Breaking bad was always about watching drama unfold slowly.
Skyler's past issues with Walt usually seem to spread over several episodes.

The start of this season seems to focus on the marriage and stuff, which you had to be a devoted watcher from season 1 to process all of what's going on.

I thought one of the most moving scenes was from last season when Walt let Jesse's drug-addicted girlfriend choke on her own vomit because he knew it would save him. I dunno it just let a mark on me.

That was the #1 moment of the entire show so far.

At least we now know who the twins are working for...didn't expect it to be him. But it makes sense now.

uhh who? seemed like the surveillance white dude saw the twins, knew something was bad, and eventually word got to the pollos guy who told them to come to his place. Do you think its him? why would he suddenly stop them if he sent them?

the whole thing is pretty uninteresting so far

He wouldn't be able to text them one word...and they leave if it wasn't him. As for why, that's for next week, I'm sure we'll see.

I'm finding the show starting about as slow as it has in the past, but interesting. Jesse buying the house and showing up as his parents were leaving was pretty funny, and how Saul got them to sell. :D

Yeah it doesn't really make any sense that Pollos guy sent them. If he had sent them, then why did they need to ask the old guy to give them his name?

Does the Pollos guy know who killed Tuco? Maybe the Pollo's guy told the twins to go question the old man to find out who killed Tuco, something the Pollos guy couldn't do on his own.

I get the sense that Pollo's guy who was stalking Walt's wife and house called Pollo to warn him his dealer was about to get murdered and apparently somehow knew the hitman's cell phone number and was able to call them off.....but what power did he have to call off a hit is what I want to know?

The older bald guy watching the house isn't Pollo's guy though...it's Saul's guy. That's the part I'm curious about...is how did the older guy eventually get word to the Pollo's guy that fast?

True, but it seems like they all know each other apparently, or not? I guess I will find out on Sunday!!

Could not stand it. I like smart criminals not idiots. Turned it off after they tried to digest a man in a bathtub and fail.

From my years down on the streets with the criminal justice system I can tell you something you should know already: The overwhelming majority of criminals just aren't that smart.

And that's part of the brilliance of this show. It features nearly otherwordly violence and degradation at times in an otherwise totally regular suburban environment and somehow manages to keep it all real.

It's the anti-24.

This is how I saw the connection..
They worked under Tuco who is or was related to Gus.

Tuco's cousins are also hitmen or drug dealers, but currently are solo doing their own thing, outside of their drug business. They're to avenge their cousin, which is what the Mexico travel seemed to be all about.

Mike is the cleaner who works under Saul, but probably has connections with Gus due to Saul's business. He knows Walt's value and probably when he saw the twins up at his door, he speed-dialed Gus.

What happens next
I can't tell for sure, but the marriage thing is still gonna be the highlight of all season. Skyler and Ted's little subplot is a revelation for Skyler to see the light about Walt. I'm sure it's there to get her to change her mind.

PS, if you guys want to do predictions to win prizes and stuff you should try the AMC forums. Clayton (one of the AMC staff) hosts these weekly/monthly talk stuff and you can win merchandise that's not out on the market. Well, other than the blueray/DVD's.

Did you guys not see the preview for next week? It answers the calling off the hit and all that.

Whats blowing me away this season is the role reversal between Jesse and Walt. Jesses got his shit together and Walt is falling apart.

I think Skyler is going to lose her innocence and go back to Walt this season.

Like the lawyer said, if she turns him in she loses everything, and the longer she keeps quiet, the more complicit she is in his crimes.

The first episode really lingered along, but they've picked up the pace again with the second...

and the best scene?

Ted's company assets coming out of nowhere was the 2nd or 3rd time , I think that's what's going to finally change Skyler's mind after she finds out what he is doing, if she does.

Btw, the best part I liked about the pizza scene isn't in there. Walt looks back a second time to make sure he saw a pizza on the roof, I think it was Cranston's response to "did I throw it high enough?" :D

My best guess so far is that the "POLLOS" text message was from the twins' boss (Mexican organized crime) which he would have sent to the twins because the Pollos Chicken guy said "Stop messing with my shit".
