Brag:

Read at FW that Kodak 512Meg xD cards were on clearance for $22.xx out the door. Went to Target in Lexington, KY and found one (last one that I saw). Scanned it and came up "Item Not Found". Took to CS and CS did a LRT lookup (hand scanner) and said it was $44.98. Said that I could have it 90% off since it wasn't in the system. I about fell over on the spot.

$44.98 - 90% = $4.50 + 6% sales tax = $4.77 out the door!!!

WooooHooooo! 😀

This is bull. I got that 1GB OCZ deal at outpost.com. Ordered it on the 31st, it shipped on the 4th, and they wanted the rebate mailed by the 10th!. What kind of crap is that? If you ground ship it, it's basically impossible to get the rebate. That burns me up. I'm sending it in anyway.

I <3 MOANING AND BRAGGING!

I'm just a broke dude that likes to go on random chats on forums...so that's my brag

We purchased four Samsung 19" syncmaster 930BF LCD monitor for $145 each at this weekend Hamboree & Computer show. Those monitor kicks butt. We gave away two of our 17" crts at the end of the show, hope they went to a good home.

I got a Sony P200 Digital camera Brand new from Fry's Elecronics for $250... Come in next day and they cost $350... Boy did that feel good!!!!!!!!!! 🙂

**Puts flame suit on.

I picked up a Mac Mini refurb from Apple for $349.95 + Tax. It was $379.95 (once in a blue moon they seel minis refurbed for $379.95), and after it shipped I got a coupon for $30 off of $300 in an email from Apple. So, I called them and they credited my account.

I once bought 15 50 packs of CD-R's for $1.99 a pack and 13 100 packs for $4.99 at Office Depot. I sold them all on the Anandtech forums and on ebay and made over $100 in proft.

This is a serious MOAN.

In early November, I purchase over 1700$ worth of hardware from Newegg. One item is a Thermalrock eclipse case, purely chosen because of the review it received in the anandtech case roundup awhile back. Well I got the items to build a new PC and the case comes a couple days later with the front door panel broken. Ok no big deal, call for RMA and order another one, Im assured by Newegg customer service this is the best bet. Few more days pass by, second case comes, same exact thing, front door panel is cracked at the hinges. I call Newegg once again and request an RMA on the second case. I also order a third case only using Fedex this time and not UPS.

With a third, undamaged case I am finally able to complete my X2 4800+ system, and what a beast it is. A couple weeks go by and I still have 2 broken cases and no RMA numbers. Finally late november I get one RMA number for one case. So I call Newegg and request they supply me with the second cases RMA so I can send both back at the same time. No dice. So finally mid december I call Newegg yet again worried that since I had made the RMA calls early November I was soon going to risk my one and only RMA number expiring. Im told I should have the second RMA within a couple days, and receive a personal email a few days later from a customer service rep with 2 solid RMA numbers for each case. Good deal, back in business and I ship the two cases UPS, at $70 in shipping costs. So at this point in time Im expecting a refund of two cases, two shipping fees, a $25 inconvienence refund, and the $70 it cost me to send them back, almost $400 total.

December 28th, Newegg gets my cases according to my tracking numbers. Ok 2-5 business days Im expecting refunds. A week later, nothing, and to my amazement Newegg.com actually shows one of my "solid" RMA numbers as void, yet a mysterious third RMA number pops out of nowhere. But I did not send my case back with this third RMA info, thinking oh god this is going to confuse them now, they have one case with a right RMA and one case with the wrong RMA, but there actually is a third RMA number for this case.

A week or so into January I call Newegg, and request a CS manager. I tell my horrid tale and he assures me it will get taken care of ASAP. Two weeks later, nothing, no emails, no calls, no change on the website. So I call again, requesting the same manager so I can call him out, only Im transfered to some other lady whom was told by the guy I wanted to "take care of me." So I tell her my story, thinking she'll understand it all and I should see results then in a couple days. January 26th, FINALLY I see one case, one shipping fee, and the $25 refunded back to my card. But here is the kicker, they refunded the cost and shipping cost of the third, undamaged case, which was actually a highly discounted shipping fee due to my first couple cases, so they are screwing me out of my fully paid shipping fees. So I wait, and wait, and no more changes to my account for a couple weeks, thinking maybe they would remedy the situation on their own....MEEP WRONG.

Febuary 10th, I call Newegg again, this time I am actually expressing how unsatisfied I am for the first time. I tell my tale yet again to a new customer service agent, and request to speak to the same manager from before. Only that never happens, so the customer service lady takes the brunt of my rant and apologizes. 45 minutes later she finally understands the whole picture, and knows what is left to be done. She promises to take care of it. Luckily she actually followed through, and Feb 15th I finally got the remaining balance due to me credited to my card. All this without a single bit of compensation for something that started 3 months earlier and should have only taken a couple weeks. Buyer beware.

BFG nice that way. When my second BFG ti4200's fan crapped out, they didn't send me a 3rd, but a ti4600 instead. Didn't find out until I opened the box. Nice support. Now I have a BFG 6600, and am happy as pie because the fan's so quiet I don't even have to worry about a 3rd party cooling solution for my all-purpose-HTPC-etc-machine. I couldn't believe it. Have my fingers crossed that it's fan doesn't go too....

Moan:

Pepsi welched on my $10 rebate over Diet Pepsi from early July. Sent me a crazy incomprehensible letter, and I know I didn't blow it when I sent in the form and proofs of purchase. I'm always super extra careful with that stuff. I guess I'll try calling them and see if I can shake it out of their tree.

I have that projector. Very nice and that's still a fantastic deal for it. I paid more than twice that for it two years ago, shortly after it came out. It's still in warranty, and I think I'm going to see about service on it to clean up the dust blobs. Never have been able to get rid of them myself.

lol that sucks.

$60 seagate 160gb hd at office max no rebate

CC 160gb hd $50 after 70$ rebate.

PM at CC got the harddrive for $60 and filled out rebate forms. Was valid and went through. Made $10 on a 160gb hd seagate.

Can I just say ZipZoomFly sucks.... I ordered a Kingston 512MB DDR266 PC2100. They sent me a Kingston 256MB DDR333 PC2700. WOW. Well, I called and basically here is the solution: First of all, they need to make sure that's what they sent me. Unfortunately, the item number on the RAM does match what I ordered, but that's a mistake. If they decide that I'm telling the truth, I can send back the RAM. About two weeks after they recieve it, they can send me the RAM I originally ordered. WOW.

The best thing about this whole ordeal is that they think I'm lying. Like I want to rip them off for about 20 bucks. Yeah, right. This sucks. Now I have to wait 3 weeks for RAM that I should I received correctly today.

Don't order from them - that's the lessoned learned.

same sucks applied to Monarch Computer too. I ordered everything on Last Sat (2-18) and all items mention 1-2 business days ship time. First, it says my shipping address is not on file (which I called my CC company and indeed, it is there), then the order finally approved on Monday morning and i checked the order status everyday and it stay on "Order send to Warehouse to process), so I finally called this morning and the CS told me one of the items (Windows XP x64) they have over sold and don't have inventory until Today. I am thinking "WTF", then ask him how come no email to notify the customer regard this. so I can call in to change the order to have other items shipped first. and his reply is "We need to go thru over 400 emails a day and we can't let customer know that a particular item from their order is out of Stock". And I think "What a customer service!!!!" In addition, I emailed to that order status twice (at last night about 8:00 PST and today at 10:30 PST) and not even one of them get replied. Furthermore, since the CSR mention the windows arrive today and the order should go out today. guess what!!! I just checked and still processing in the warehouse.

However, they charge my credit card so quick, I checked and it charged on Monday already, while other site mostly do pending charge first

I am totally regard my deciscion not to order from newegg (order a MB at the same time and it arrived yesterday) and the value of the order is not much, just over $800.

I am considering to report it as poor customer service and false advertising (mention ship 1-2 days, and now 5 business days and waiting) to GA (Atlanta area) BBB

I think this is lessoned well learned

Yes, I made the same mistake. I should have ordered from Newegg. I have never had a problem with them and the RAM was only a couple bucks more - it would have been well worth it. Seriously, what a big mistake it was to order from ZipZoomFly. Also, everyone ought to read this, an email from the customer service rep. Tell me if there is one legible sentence:

"No Paul for all our refunds there is a 15%RSF if we ship you the wrong
item we will replace it for the correct one anyhow We could waive RSF
even though we only replace the item which is different. So don't
worried
We will waive RSF after ck the item if in fact we shipped you the wrong
item."

When I asked her what exactly that email was supposed to mean, she wrote back:

"My last email was pretty clear when I
mention that you don't need to worry."

Yeah, I won't worry that you are going to charge me 15% to restock an item that you mistakenly sent me. Thanks a lot.

Hmm, that sucks about zipzoomfly, i've ordered quite a bit of stuff from them and never had any issues. and i actually just ordered my new video card from them yesterday...

and I got my $20mir back for my raptor that i ordered from newegg 3-4 months ago...woo
