[brag] Just found out my little sister got 1580 on the SAT!

my teacher (who tutored me SAY), his son can archieve that when he was 7th grade, his son can do better actually(perfect score on both). verbal is easy when you finish all dicksons' books.
btw, it is nothing to brag about. how about if your sister can make 3 perfect score on GRE when she is 17?

LOL, I agree. Time for some people to learn proper english grammar and good use of sentence structure.

well we can get in a pissing match over standardized test scores of young children but i'd rather not... i'm just proud of my little sister.

That's quite an achievement, even though I don't think the SAT's are a good measure of actual intelligence. I got a 1280 myself, but honestly I don't really care if I know all those verbal questions that I missed. I'm not growing up to be an English teacher and very rarely do I make some sort of grammatical mistake while talking to someone in real life. I'm content with that as it is

yea i agree with you... i didn't do nearly as good as her, but still did well. i have other ways of knowing that my little sister is intelligent... most notably her excellent taste in music (largely overlapping mine) 😀

People who listen to indie rock are atleast 3 times more intelligent then the average person. Does your sister listen to indie rock?

congratulations gopunk's sister!!! now once she gets into college, you have all the hot college chick hookups!

😀

and to that other asshat who tried to put a damper on celebrations, sat math > gre math. i should know, i took both. its given that gre english > sat engligh, but still i'd say that the amount by which verbal on the gre is harder is overwhelmed by the amount by which the math is easier.

Your sister = teh St00pid. I got 1743 on my SAT in grade 2, heavily medicated (in fact I was under the effect of general anesthesia at the time and was not even conscious).

j/k 😀

Whether studies have been done or not it would not surprise me in the least if there is indeed a link between intelligence and music tastes.

sorry for my post early.
anyone got figure for how many applicants with perfect score got rejected by haravrd?
1580 is not good enough to get her in harvard, but she has a good start. btw, SAT format will change a few years later.

my gramma sucks because it is not needed for SAT. btw, I only got 490 on verbal. how about you study 4 years of my language(chinese) and take the SAT2 for? 😛

sorry for acting an asshat again. congratz to you sis!
