What game were you watching?? stats: Brady 21/32 255 yds 3td 2 int. Manning 16/27 225 yds 1 td 1int.
at least watch a game or go to ESPN before coming to a conclusion.

I did watch the game. The network put up a stat near the end of the game that had Manning leading the QB comparison handily. I was wrong, so fucking sue me. :|

Agreed. I like Manning's height advantage. I think he does better against the pass rush regardless.

Wait, didn't Brady basically play with a bunch of scrubs during '01? What about last year? That offense was pretty scrubly too.

If Brady-Bundch ever tie the knot, he'll be out of New England within a year. You know it, I know it, we all know it. You can't fight the supermodel wifey curse, which dictates that pro athletes move to a big-market city within a year to keep wifey happy. My guess is New York, probably with the Jets (right in time for the move to a new stadium.) There are already rumors that Bundchen is pregnant, and the tabloids always spot them out in Manhattan together. Its just a matter of when will Brady put a ring on her finger (not another SuperBowl ring.)

I think this merit's a separate post for discussion.

Reche Caldwell and Jabbar Gaffney... aka "The Twin Waiver Wire Wonders"

Considering the Pats almost went to the superbowl with those 2 receivers, that was quite amazing.

LOL I hope this is sarcasm :)

I am sure Brady can't wait to go to a classy, well run and coached organization like the Jets and leave this putrid New England team......

The only things Brady will be tying in knot in the near future are umbilical cords, and probably plenty of them.

Somehow there are people in this thread who seem to forget who played on the Patriots' offense during their SB runs. Even '03 / '04 weren't much better. Branch is a good receiver, but he's not Marvin Harrison or Reggie Wayne.

Oh well, I still stick by my earlier assessment - these are the two best QBs in the league and little separates them.

I'm serious. Let's think about it for a second. Brady's current contract will max out in '08/'09, after which he's got 2 years left to go. He didn't even try to get more money the last time but if he gets another SuperBowl win (very likely) I don't see how his agent won't try to get more.

The Jets are a mess--organization-wise, coaching-wise, and personnel-wise. I'm pretty sure they're gonna clean house within the next 2 years. They know they have bad luck drafting QBs, so I think they're going to go after a veteran QB in their prime--enter Tom Brady. They will give up every concession to get Brady in uniform. They might even lure Josh McDaniels into a head coaching position to sway Brady.

So, like I said, it won't happen right away, but I expect Brady could be in a Jets uniform as early as '09/'10. Of course, there are other teams he could jump to--notably the '49ers (would fit well with Brady and Gisele would love California.)

Brady took less money to be on the Patriots, no way in hell he tries to cripple the patriots with a massive contract. He publicly stated that he didn't care about being the highest paid QB and it would make him happier to keep Deion Branch than make an extra million (of course, that didn't work out as Deion tried to max out his contract). If Randy Moss signs, no way Brady takes all he can get, especially to a horrible franchise like the Jets.

Brady has a lot of Montana in him...he stays very much within himself throughout the game up to the very end.

Manning has a lot of Marino in him...throwing skills that are super-human...enabling them to be able to complete low percentage throws at any point in the game...however in turn they are too often willing take low percentage throws at any point in the game...and the low percentage 'high degree of difficulty' heaves often burn them.
