Well to be fair, the people on here aren't funny and this is their outlet to be what they're not. Sort of like the e-thugs who threaten to beat you up because they know they'll never fight you in real life. If these people actually do crack tasteless, pathetic attempts at jokes like this in real life about people dying I hope somebody slaps the shit out of them. When you're NOT funny and disrespectful at the same time a good back handed slap should be interjected.

The ironic thing is, if a member had posted this same thing about their little brother dying in the same way it would have been flowers and condolences. With the ban stick coming out for anyone who makes a funny, I guess it's okay when it's a person nobody knows?

Based on how much my chairs have always compressed when I plop myself down on them, I'd say that the fluid within is quite compressible.

And that hissing sound you hear when you raise or lower the chair? That sure isn't hydraulic oil leaking out or rushing in.

My vote is pneumatic.

I'm not worried just confused, if somebody on here posted a message saying "my wife died in a car crash yesterday" and I responded with "Well, I guess she didn't have the DRIVE to live" I would get the ban stick, for essentially saying the same things they are said in this thread. I guess respect for the dead only factors in when the mods feel like it.

I'm glad someone said it. How does the cylinder maintain any sort of pressure if there is no gas within?
 
fake. contents arent under enough pressure to cause an explosion, its just a damper with an internal spring. also theres no way it would create such a huge hole in the chair.
 
where is confirmation.

i used to have a cheap chinese chair long ago. when i hacked it to bits for disposal i found the seat bottom was just a thin sheet of plywood.

how many psi is in those pistons?
