its a toyota.....it will run for EVAR!

no seriously toyota's are stupidly reliable, you watch Top Gear? when JC let the tide take away that toyota hilux? heh they found it the next morning half sunken in the sand, pulled it out, all the mechanic did was pump some fuel into the engine, and they got it fired up!

its a lot of miles tho....them seats probably got someones ASS engraved in them by now....heh bucket seats :D:p

So why did my gfs corolla 2 year old corolla stop suddenly in the middle of the highway! Reliability my ass. She even had all maintenance done on time.

The Toyota pickup truck on TG could've been just any truck and it would've started up.

It's silly to base your whole mindset on just one case. I have several uncles with toyota trucks and I've seen a few of them break down here and there but the majority of them are rock solid. So overall I would say they're a reliable brand of cars and trucks.

and another freaking heavier car with even worse handling than the caddy? Give me a fucking break!

And I bought the 83 supra because its a sweet looking car, runs awesome, handles great, and has enough power to kill myself.

Enjoy the 5M-GE, it is a helluva a motor. Mine threw a rod at about 185K this was about 1K miles after I ran my '84 Cressida off a dirt road and bent the oil pan. Apparently I bent the oil pickup bad enough to affect oil pressure. I didn't know much about cars at the time, but looking back it is amazing the engine went another 1K after the oil pickup was pretty much crushed.
I also had an '86 4wd Tercel with 210K on it, older Toyota engines and trannies are simply bulletproof.
To the haters: I can think of a million things that aren't worth the price that is paid for them, especially in the computer world. To each their own, and have fun living your negative lifestyle.

I like the cars with the different color paint on the back, LIKE THIS ONE.

Actually, that is the stock paint job. the rear hatch was painted by the school that the car was a project car for. Im debating whether or not to return it back to stock.

Yes, it is a horrible deal. One, the car is fully unreliable. Two, it can't handle its power. Three, its ugly. Need I go on?

Yeah those damn cars can't handle their power. Even with a beefed suspension. They roll and slide way to much. And yeah, unrealible. Very unreliable. I wouldn't want to drive that on a nice day, 70 degrees, with no clouds, and no traffic. And in comparison to the crown vic, my car is very sleek and sweet looking. Come on man, find me something better.

What exactly are you going to be doing to restore it?

Going to restore the exterior to stock. Buying the stock rims and performance tires for it. The interior Im not sure yet, the leather has a few cracks in it. Just starting out for now. Eventually the exterior is going to get repainted.
