W00t for me. I just purchased a 1983 Toyota Celica Supra. It has 248k on it and the motor is still strong. paid 1600 for it.

Will post pictures tomorrow.

Im happy. 😀

Edit: Ok, for those just seeing this thread, be warned, there is alot of flames throughout the thread. Its a great read, but that is up to you. I will respond to almost all of the posts, posted in this thread. 😀

Edit: After a long ordeal trying to get my camera to work I finally have 3 pictures for you. I took more than that but the rest are either screwed up or fuzzy. Here are the pics:

Front Headlight motors non existant, lights up. Have fixed this.
Rear Clearest picture from the camera.
Sunroof Sunroof opens fully, as do the power windows. In the back you see my old accord which is for sale and my truck, dakota, that had sat in my garage for 2 years on ramps. The other truck is just there. 🙂

nada lists the car @ 2200. It needs some cosmetic touch ups and a head light motor.

I just didn't know there was a Celica Supra

yeah, before 87 toyota produced the celica supra. It has a 2.8L I6 non-turbo. they didn't give the turbo until 87 and thats was on the 3.0L I6

In a couple of years you can get "classic" license plates for it... depending on where you live I guess. 🙂

Yup. 25 years here in the states. Not sure if I want to spend the money on classic plates quite yet though. I guess it all depends on whether I keep it stock or not.

I think back in VA, you couldn't use classic plates on a daily driver.

One of my friends in high school in PA did... I think the main benefit for him was that it made his car exempt from emissions inspections.

Yes, that is the beauty of having a car 25 years or older. Actually, the next county south of me doesn't have emissions testing. 🙂

uhhh that better be $1600CAD or something, because you got bent over otherwise.... car that has over 200K and is over 20 years old is not worth more than 400 bucks...

My friend has an old celica. The floor is rotting through and you can see straight to the ground on the passenger side. It's a blast to drive on country gravel roads though.

Nice....my dad has a 1995 Celica and has had it ever since, thats 10 freaking years!! but you can imagine how much hes spent in all repairs, i tell him to get a new one but he doesnt want to, he loves it i guess, lol...but it will break down for good some day.

no seriously toyota's are stupidly reliable, you watch Top Gear? when JC let the tide take away that toyota hilux? heh they found it the next morning half sunken in the sand, pulled it out, all the mechanic did was pump some fuel into the engine, and they got it fired up!

its a lot of miles tho....them seats probably got someones ASS engraved in them by now....heh bucket seats 😀😛
