It says a lot. They don't even need to be expensive per se, but condition/cleanliness is key.
I go 100% utility with my shoes, so I'm sure I'm not sending a good message. I wear 13 EEEEs - if I find a pair that fits, I buy it.

I like the Nomos look, but don't spend more than a couple hundred on watches. I got the watch bug when I got my $20 carbide wedding ring. I have mostly automatics, but I have a seiko field chronograph and a citizen eco in titanium.

I got a chinese microbrand nomo knock off with a nice myota auto movement:

I'm wearing a pretty nice automatic seiko diver, today.

I also have another seiko diver, a couple orient automatics, and a swiss army, swiss auto field watch.

All in all, buying my collection on the internet means I probs spent less than the OP :)

My current cheapo dress watch is 2 minutes fast a week, heh. Its also not a chrono, I have a new winder coming though that has storage for my other watches.

So how much did you pay for that? If I may be so bold. I was looking at that one myself recently. I'm attracted to Ingersolls.

to all the haters....

did you spend more than 20k on a car? that car does the same thing all the other cars do and there are cheaper ones that do the same thing. an old toyota may even work better than whatever you have and paid more for. Did you buy your bride a CZ because its superior and does not have any inclusions? is the ring 18 insted of 24k or maybe just plated.... looks the same and performs the same, so why did you waste your money?

you are all ridiculous.

While your point is taken, your analogies don't all make sense. A CZ is not the same stone or material, I think you just meant a lab created diamond or gemstone. Lab created is still diamond (or sapphire, etc) but it was just lab grown from a seed stone vs. natural. They're cheaper than the real thing, but not nearly as cheap as CZ. A CZ is physically different and more scratch prone because it's a softer material.

so is a plastic or "mineral Crystal" watch crystal vs. sapphire.
