Hyundai is launching a luxury brand in the next few years. Soon people will be paying a lot more than 25k for them.

Too bad its not a Chrysler. ;)

I'd say it's a wash. Chrysler...Hyundai...what's the difference? They are both crap.
Are they? Proof? Numbers? Stats? Or are you just talking out of your ass.

Edit: And I'm being semi-serious.

Edit2: And please don't use references to models from 5+ years ago.

They have horrible resale value, everyone I know who owns/owned one says nothing but bad things about them and they don't rate highly with the CR crowd either...not as highly as the Japanese vehicles anyway.

As for Mercedes quality in a Dodge...that's a laugh. Mercedes isn't exactly the best name in reliability right now either.

I wouldn't buy a Chrysler/Dodge and I wouldn't buy a Hyundai either. If for no other reason because of their horrible resale value.

I have a 2005 elantra...I paid 11k for it brand new. I love it...for the money it was a great deal.

4-5k less than a comparably equiped civic or corolla but the elantra has a better crash test rating, stronger engine, and a better warranty.

I would pick up a used Infiniti G35x easy with that price + extra cash for Christmas.

I'm sorry for you OP. Hyundai might make reliabile vehicles. But they are noob when it comes to luxury.

You should have test driven better. Hyundais are notorious for subpar, "bouncy" suspension. After test driving a camry, accord and sonata...honda had the best suspension. I too was very disappointed by the suspension of the sonata.

I feel so sorry for the auto shop department to have to deal with you always coming in. Your mind is set to "must find something wrong and hear, feel, look for anything I think may be wrong and fixate on it till I make myself believe it is a problem and keep returning the car to the shop for repairs that arnt even needed or are even there".
