Go back to you dealer and tell him your not happy with the suspension. I'm sure they will try to make you happy. You never know, it could be a defective part(s).

I didn't even look at the vehicle before posting. Many dealers around here sell more than one brand. So it is possible he still has that option. He has nothing to lose by at least talking to the dealer about the problem. Dealers are not evil creatures.

This dealer was pretty nice and it's also the largest Hyundai dealer in RI, I think.

The Chrysler 30 day return fee doesn't mean they take it back with no penalty. You pay a 5% MSRP "restocking fee" and a penalty of 50 cents per mile driven.

It's still better than the loss you'd take reselling it back to the dealer.

With a Hyundai maybe. With many Hondas? Nope. They still sell near their new price after 1-2 years of use. Occasionally a vehicle is in such demand that the used models sell for more than new ones (Toyota Prius is the latest example).

Generalizations like that are only generally true, but there are usually many exceptions.

To be honest, you're going to lose your shirt. Suck it up and maybe get some new shocks for it? You can always beef them up and put some heavier duty shocks or spring-jacks on the suspension to improve the ride. That's my advice....but definitely complain to the dealer and see what you can get.

Unfortunately I don't have any advice for you but I know what you mean about its handling. I test drove an Azera on a particularly nasty road and I thought I was going to be sick by the end of the test drive because of how it handled. It's really a shame because it's otherwise a very nice car. The good thing for me was that it made me appreciate how my Elantra handles even more.

Looks like maybe they missed the mark on the engineering....you might need to retune it.

I didn't look at the model--I just assumed this was an SUV based on the price tag. Now that I check out your link, though, When the OP said rough pavement, I was thinking he meant dirt roads/gravel roads/etc--possibly some off-road type stuff.

That car should be a dream to ride in so something's not right. Bring it back to the dealer.

You got hosed on that price...did you look to see what else is available for $25k?

Honda Accord
Toyota Camry
Mazda 6s
Ford FiveHundred
Buick LaCrosse
Subaru Legacy

All the options, and you chose a Hyundai? LMAO.

Depends on the car.

I purchased a 2003 Mazdaspeed Protege brand new for 15040 OTD. Dealers are selling them for 18000 used now.

I could probably get 14-15k for mine in a private sale and 13ish for a trade in. Not bad at all IMHO for using a car for 30,000 miles and buying it new.

But I'll bet he got way more options/extras for his money with his Azera than he would have with any of the cars you posted.

Wow... 25,000 for a Hyundai.

You only have 2 realistic options here:
1. Talk to the dealer and tell them it is very rough riding and ask what your options are for new suspension / tires. (Tires make a huge difference)
2. Get used to it.

I'd say it's a wash. Chrysler...Hyundai...what's the difference? They are both crap.

Don't you know that Chrysler is Daimler is an ugly shell? :p

Those new commercials crack me up...A Dodge Caliber is by no means going to be comparable to Mercedes, but that's marketing for you.
