Seems fairly tame now, yes? For this SIMPLE urging to get back on topic I get told that I'm "mean" and that I should grow up? Speaking of a lack of moderation, this is the VIDEO forum and AT is kind enough to supply a forum for this type of stuff, it's called OFF-TOPIC I think. If VIDEO was moderated in a meaningful way this syrup would have been stopped or relocated when it started. You don't understand? That's because YOU weren't bitterly attacked by a hyper-emotional fop who thinks this place is his living room. I clicked this forum to talk about video, not to live someone else?s hardships. There are lots of other places I can for that, should I wish to.

and you can certainly find other places to talk about video if it bothers you so much; there are lots of places you could do that as well.

at any rate, there are several people in here who have taken this too far, and i wasn't necessarily singling you out, altho since your comments are now directed at me, i will say your original smartass/sarcastic remark was not particularly offensive, however you certainly upped the ante after that, now didn't you? had you stopped further discussion after the first time, you wouldn't have contributed so mightily to the very subject you overreacted to in the first place.

anyways.. so jeff, how do you like your card after having it a few days now? still running 6177s?

Since you're so sensitive about sarcastic/smartass comments why didn't you just keep your mouth shut and stay out of it? Like most e-tough guys with daddy-complexes you get all salty and wet from telling other people off for doing the same thing that you try to do yourself. This isn't the forum for sob stories, cowardly defenses of same and feel-good gestures that mean NOTHING. I like it a lot... I no longer have to turn off 4XAA or 16XAF to play Far Cry or Doom 3 😀 And yes, I'm still using the 61.77's. I'm enjoying the stability of them compared to CAT 4.8's. I just might switch to the latest beta Forcewear though since many of nVidia's "leaked" beta drivers are more reliable than ATI's official releases.

are you considering using an NV Silencer 5 with the BFG? since it starts off overclocked anyways it will run a hot on the default BFG cooling setup, ive heard the NV Silencer 5 gives it big difference in temperature, like ~10 celsius or more (forgot where i saw the review)

Yes I am considering it... if for nothing else, to get all that heat OUT of my case so my processor runs as cool as possible. I haven't had any stability problems, but it's always comforting to see low temperatures.

While it may be reasonable to note this is off topic for video, that's really for the mods to decide. For that matter, if you look through any thread with many posts I doubt you'll find many that don't stray off topic.
