They came to the US in 2003. I think the media meant to say they have been in Cambridge, MA for a year.

It's not my fault you're moving the goalposts. The poll listed foreign-born muslims. These guys fit the bill. You're trying to act like it's apples and oranges.

Also, I think you're underestimating how important the first 10 or 20 years of life are on one's identity.

According to the NYT they had lived in Kyrgyzstan and Dagestan for years before moving to the US. It's likely the younger one had only lived in Chechnya as a little kid. That being said, it appears likely they lived in heavily Chechen communities in those countries and possibly in the US as well. If anything it sounds like they became more devoutly religious in adulthood. The older one had a video on his Youtube page about converting to Islam and learning to pray "successfully." I don't think any of these were "stupid" picks, other than perhaps the false-flag voters. We simply didn't know. I myself voted for foreign-born Islamic terrorists, but I don't think most of the other choices were obviously silly.

Apparently these guys threw another pressure cooker bomb at the cops last night during their chase/firefight, seemingly eliminating any doubt about whether they are the bombers. Hopefully that will silence the false-flag people. I cannot conceive of any theory under which any government agenda would be furthered by Chechens committing terrorist acts on American soil.

Imo they were stupid picks and the last one was just an ignorant choice. The merits were debated in this and other threads but government cover up? The George Bush option? Radical right wing?

I don't vote in polls that expose the voters for that reason. People should not be pigeon holed for having a varying opinion, being right does not make you smarter...it just makes you right, THIS TIME. The simple truth here is that NOBODY was right on this one, if the official story is true.

Of course, a lot of people find it odd that the suspects waltzed into an area crawling with feds and bomb dogs without being noticed. Here is a good story pointing out some glaring issues with the official story and those two guys being the bombers:

The only surprise I had was that they were originally from a Russia satellite state.

The older brother got the younger kid to go through with it. Apparently he was cool up until a year ago and then lost contact with friends. The older brother was a devoted Muslim according to reports and likely took up the fight of radical Islam.

There was also a third party involved now which is not a surprise.

The only questions left is was the older brother a sleeper cell operative and was this an even more corrordinated operation from foreign elements than what we know.

Last question is why but given the war on terror that shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.
