Who committed the Boston Marathon Bombing?

  • U.S. Government -- black flag operation

  • Anti-Tax Militia. It's Tax Day, after all.

  • Foreign-born Islamicists

  • Domestic-born Islamicists (sudden jihad syndrome?)

  • Christian Extremists

  • The Jews!

  • Mexican Drug Lords

  • The Mafia

  • Saddam Hussein's Operatives (the George Bush option)

  • Lone nut who doesn't fit any of the above categories

Strange considering Islamists are behind the bulk of bombings/terrorist attacks.

So I wonder why so many people have their head in the sand?
What are they reading in the last decade that they haven't figured this out to some degree?

But it also happened on April 15th in Boston. The date and location would seem to implicate an extreme "Tea Party" type group.

Also, given how long it has been such 9/11 one would have to legitimately wonder what took Islamists so long to pull such an attack.

What I've seen suggests they came over recently, so I'm not sure I accept that he came over as a kid. Even if he did, he's still foreign-born and Muslim, which was the exact poll option. Not in the middle.

I heard from a few sources when they came here one of them would have been 10 years old. Deadspin article shows he was "Americanized". This is much more then just "some foriegn born terrorist comes over here" Its gonna be a little more complicated.

Do you mean Americanized the way the 9/11 guys behaved? They dated American girls, were into bling and clubs too. Doesn't change anything.

This is certainly qualitatively different from most other Islamic acts of terror we've seen in the US. These guys may be motivated as much or more by Chechen separatism as by their faith, and it would not surprise me if they have no connection to any foreign terrorist groups. We shall see.

Not quite. Big difference an adult coming here pretending to fit in as opposed to a child coming here, assuming the culture, yet growing up to be a terrorist.

Never mind that there's a site showing him saying that he doesn't understand Americans and doesn't have any American friends.

Kid with military training? That's what's reported. Hardly going to get a "child" pass off that's who you mean regardless.

Who Is Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the Man at the Center of the Boston Manhunt?

Dzhokhar's vk.com profile would indicate that he was a bit more Americanized that his dead brother. Perhaps it was the older brother's influence that walked him down this path.

"I Don't Have a Single American Friend."
A photo essay which people believe profiles Dzhokhar's brother Tamerlan is being passed around the Internet today. We've contacted photojournalist Johannes Hirn, to verify Tamerlan's identity. What matches up is Tamerlan's place of birth (Chechnya), his age, and his name. In the essay, "Will Box for Passport", Tamerlan Tsarnaev said: "I don't have a single American friend, I don't understand them." In another post, Hirn writes: "Tamerlan says he would rather compete for the United States than for Russia."

That ex-girlfriend looks pretty American. We'll find out more in the next few days

What the heck did the USA ever do to Chechnya? Why didn't they go bomb Russia? Makes no sense.

My first post on this was and I quote:
My first guess... muslim terrorists.

My second guess..... right wing conservative extremists

It has to be one of the two, it always is.

Hows that for right on the nose? I will admit to leaning more toward rwe after the first few days but my initial response was correct. I would NEVER have guessed Chechnyans though..... it just doesn't make any sense.

Didn't OBL have training camps in that part of the world??

Chechnya is largely Muslim. That is a huge reason they want independence. It's one of the many areas of the world where Muslims are fighting with their neighbors.

Took so long because as I had said for years terrorism on US soil is just not a huge problem(relative to the size of the country). Although there have been a couple of very destructive attacks, the point is that given how easy they are and the fact we go years between events, it is not as if we live under a constant pressure of being blown up.

I realize that point is not necessarily well received in light of recent events but perhaps I don't verbalized my point ideally.

Like I said, the 9/11 terrorists had American girlfriends too.

They were adults who were here for about a year. Its more role playing for them. I don't think a 10 year old could put up that kind of an act for 10+ years.

I'm just posting a newly released photo.

yea, I don't know what his problem is.

Definitively no Arabs. A lot of people swallowing crow this morning...especially people in the comment sections of multiple news websites.

:hmm:

When has the Tea Party EVER attacked anyone? Have they ever even blocked traffic?

I put "Tea Party" in quotes on purpose. To emphasize that it is more a radical group with sympathetic views on taxes and the like. As opposed to the actual Tea Party.

Connecticut State Police are now posting a bulletin to be on the lookout for a gray Honda CRV with Massachusetts plates 316-ES9.

They say there is almost no change that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev got out of Massachusetts. This is just a precaution at the moment.
