BOSE ? Crap...

Their sh*t is good, but overpriced. Example--take their SoundDock iPod speakers. Fvcking $299 for small speakers? Any self respecting gamer knows that a Logitech 6-speaker system with DTS decoding, digital inputs, THX and 1000x better sound quality can be had for less. And yet, for such a small package, those speakers put out better sound than anything else. I haven't compared them to the new Altec Lansing iPod speakers, but compared to the older ones the Bose SoundDock is MUCH better.

goddamned inflated prices

I want one just to try it so I can be more confident recommending it to people.

I have a pair of Fluance SV-6s sitting in a closet that would love to be put to use. 😀

not sure i'd recommend em at all. its just proof that the music industry isn't really trying when it comes to innovation/cost reduction i guess. why would they when they can milk people for thousands.

LOL

The Tamp could possibly be good. Using DC is much cleaner than AC as a power source. I dont know anything about what it can actually drive though.

bose for your car and home theatre FTW

hey if they can charge the price of that and still make money all the power to them....while me as a consumer wishes and hates that it is that high...if I want to do it right I am getting bose

Dont mean to be mean or anything, but have you heard anything?

Im talking like B&W, Paradigm, Dali, Krell, Thell, ACI, Axiom, Ascend, Onix, Swan, Klipsch, Polk, Infinity, ...

Take the Acoustimass 16 for example ($1300)

Take the same money and buy:
SVS PB-12-ISD ($675 incl s/h)
3x Paradigm Titan ($610 after dealer discounts)

There is no way the Bose can even think of competing...

Bose: Better profits through marketing.

or how about

No highs, no lows, gotta be Bose!

My Best Buy purchased Klipsch speakers sound 1000x better than my old Bose system that I threw in the dumpster. Also cost less!

The moonlight on the water is so pretty. All the little silver sparkles - I mean there must be eighty five hundred twenty billion of them - going on forever like little silver butterflies kissing the surface of the water. It's one of the most beautiful things in the world...

Bose are pretty much a joke in the audiophile world, not that I'm some pretentious audiophile that applies magnets to cd's for them to magically sound more open but I recently took the pludge into mid-fi (hi-fi to 90% of the population) speakers and a receiver. For the price I paid for my panasonic xr-55 and Axiom m3ti speakers I doubt I could get anything from bose that comes close to the sound quality at even 10x the price.
