I did read that, but there's a couple problems with what she wrote:

1. Digital distribution has already occurred, Steam users have pre-loaded.
2. I don't think Gamestop accounts for 1% of the total volume of their sales. I'm leaning towards the greater majority of their sales. This is not an isolated incident, all the Gamestops are selling them. Even in other countries.
3. A PUBLISHER ADMITTED THEIR DRM IS FAIL?!?! WTF?!?!?!

1. yet, you still can't play the game until it's unlocked
2. see above
3. see above

It doesn't matter how you want to reason it out to yourself, or if the reasons 2K gave are to your liking or not. 2K said they weren't advancing the release date, so why would you believe a GameStop employee over the actual publisher?

Because publishers are always doing foolish things. I'll trust a gamestop employee over a publisher any day of the week. That was the point to my bullets, the statement 2K made was silly.

Really? Wow. Well, I guess we can discredit anything you say then.

And the game isn't going to be unlocked until midnight tonight. What's so difficult to understand about that?

I think you can gift someone so no fees. It has to be funds from your paypal balance i think.

I can start it up if i can get 3 people to paypal me so i can buy it.

Well, in an oh-so-expected turn of events, the PC version of borderlands has been pirated. Before release. While people who pay are still staring at the 'will unlock tommorow' sign.

Where have you been? It's been out for a solid week already.

AFAIK, it was the 360 version that's been out. The PC one is out now too.

online works today for pirated pc

pretty sad really - when will devs learn

they inconvenience everyone while pirates are playing before release, just like all the pc customers who got it early could have been

Like I said earlier, I don't know why publishers put securom on a game and then skip a simple cd key check.

It's pretty obvious it had to happen since some stores sold the retail PC version last week.
