How long is the SP gameplay? Does it go all the way to level 50? I just beat Skagzilla, and am a few levels past it. Starting in New Haven. Level 23 or something, having played over 10 hours already. Just curious, as there is no percentage on saved games or anything.

Around 20 hours on average. You will be around lvl 35 at the end. Once you win, you unlock Playthrough 2 which is harder, and you should reach lvl 50 before the end of that. I skipped most side quests the second time around.

37 total hours this week. beat both playthrough's. have a level 31 hunter on the last level of playthrough 1

Single core A64 3200+ stock, 1 GB Ram and a 7600gt at 1680x1050.

Nice, that means I should be able to run it on my laptop as well. I only need it at 1440x900, and have a 2GHz core 2 duo, 2 gig ram, and a Quadro NVS 140m (equivalent to a 8400 from what I read).

So where is this Middle of Nowhere Bounty Board? I keep getting msgs saying there are more missions. I know I was there, cant remember how I got there.

It's in Rust Commons East. When you use the fast travel system you have a list of the zones you can travel to, they all have two names, the zone name and their "map" counterpart name, it's strange and confusing, I hate it myself, but anyway, Rust Commons East is also "Middle of Nowhere" as much as Middle of Nowhere is "Rust Commons East".

I found it thanks. Found it by doing the Beacons mission, it was in between the two beacons you have to activate. I really wish there was a big map in the game you could look at, and a mini map while driving.

We all wish that, man, we all do, expect for the developers, they obviously didn't want one nor did they think it was important enough to include it at release.

Downloading patch now. I have just started a Lilith, thought it odd I couldn't melee while in phase walk. I'm assuming that's what was fixed in this patch.

Just thought I would post a heads up, the new ATI drivers 9.11 are creating problems with Boarderlands on my system (4870/VIsta Home Premium). Some textures on buildings are turning solid olive gray color.

A quick google search seems to indicate it is a common problem.

4850+9.11 here, and no problems. Win 7 x86. **EDIT** Thread at [H] with a problem as well after updates, but with a NV card; http://www.hardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1469852

Before you start up steam to let it download the update, back up your config. I dont know why it screws it up when it updates, but it does. My FOV "fix" wasnt working again, nor was mouse smoothing set to off.

Also, this config editor is very nice;

(needs .net framework 3.51 SP1)

I have used it, and works great. Not more editing files for me.

im using that also. really sad that we have to do this though, why release it for pc at all if your not going to deconsolize it.

Most of the options that are made available with that program are not available in most PC games. Messing with configs has been normal for a while.

i never have to mess with configs for ANY of my other games. most people will agree with me that this game is very much consolized.

seriously, vsync, disabling mouse smoothing, weapon bob, being able to have a decent FOV for pc. those things are pretty much expected nowadays.

vsync is pretty basic dude. Gearbox mainstreamed themselves. still a fun game but console for sure.

Yes, it is... but most of the other options are not nor are they regularly included in options of any other PC game. People see a lack of vsync and go OMG IT'S CONSOLIZED... ridiculous.

I can live without vsync, the FOV problem was the big one. There is no denying its because it was made for the consoles primarily. This config is very nice, and helps me out.

the tearing is brutal without vsync, but the FOV is worse. gives me a headache without changing it to 95 or so.
