Only DLC I have is UVH, which I'll probably get UVH 2 at some point.

The only other one that I'd really like to get is the tiny tina one, but missed the xbox sale on it the other week. From what little I've read the others aren't really all that great.

They're all pretty good, really, save for Hammerlock's. Scarlet's gives you access to some rather standard armaments that you will likely want to try out depending on how involved you get in the game (The Sandhawk), eaaily farmable raid bosses for loot and seraph tokens (Hyperius) and to me, Torgue's is just epic fun. Mr Torgue is my favorite BL NPC now (Think Macho Man, but even awesomer). You also will want access to those vending machines for some very good gear (DPUH, Bonus Package, Flakker) and the Torgue Seraph vendor which sells crossfires and Hoplite shields, among other good stuff.

I've killed bunker up to 50 times now, not one Bitch. super annoying. But I just set the game to normal to make that run to the gate (it's fun watching constructors die with one phaselock) then set it back to UVHM +OP whatever to kill Bunker...still stupid easy at any level.

The drop rate on him is terrible.

For loot midgets, I do the Doctor's Orders farming in WEP. so many relics...

Had him drop the Bitch on TVH run with Sal while killing him for the story. Then my luck went to crap, contuined the story and got a stupid orange jack mask from the warrior.

lol--I just got that as well, with Sal in Normal mode. Of course, never used it on Sal, but the orange one claimed unlocked already. Then Jack dropped the regular purple one and I was able to use it.

that has to be some sort of bug, or old test loot that was never removed, right? why would the Warrior drop an orange Jack mask?

If you're on PC you should be able to reset it with gibbed. Just uncheck it as complete on whichever toon you want to farm it.

At least 5, and I've seen up to 7 Legendary loot midgets on that run. I've even seen them pop out of stalker puke piles, lol.

If you want Bone/Skin/Blood of Ancients, that's the best place to get them.

I finally bought the game the other day for $10. A buddy talked me into it so we can do co-op with two others. I made a sniper and a gunzerker and am basically running around just learning how the game plays. I have the first game but its been a while since I played and I'am just trying to get back into the swing of things. Like its predecessor its an adictingly fun game. My guys are still low level but I'm getting better. I need to go back and read this whole thread sometime when i get the chance and see what gleams of tips and straegies i can find.

So is there any way to glitch an autosave, say with the Gibbed editor or whatever. I am getting very frustrated with UVHM mode in the long sections without an autosave point.

For instance the part where you have to rescue Roland from the Bloodshot Stronghold. I got to the area with the big whirlpool, which took quite a while battling some tough enemies. If you die, you come back to that point, but if you quit out of the game, you have to start the entire level again. I had probably spent an hour or more getting there and had to go to bed, and of course lost all that progress when I quit out of the game. The only way I could think of would to leave the game running, but I did not really want to do that overnite and all day until I got home from work the next day. Its just too bad that when you quit out of the game you cant restart at the respawn point instead of the start of the level.

Yes, that's an annoying part of BL 1 -2 and other checkpoint save games.

BL2 has several sections where you need to be able to play for 1 hour or more or you'll lose all of your progress. I much prefer save-anywhere games where you can make progress in 10 minutes if that's all of the time you want to play.

That doesn't stop me from playing BL2 though :) :(

that's something you just have to deal with, frankly, as there is no way around the checkpoints.

Bloodshot stronghold can also be quite annoying, as there isn't much opportunity to easily run through it, especially on UVHM. I think the only area of that map I have had success with that is the part from finding Roland, you can quickly run to and through the final gate. Then, in the next map, it isn't much problem to run through all the mobs to the very last checkpoint at that last fight. In fact, I don't think I've done it any other way, because I was also sleepy when getting there the first time, only to learn that there is yet another wall of mobs to get through. Fuck it, I said, and just ran to the end, ignoring all the loaders.

I'm not sure how far the mobs tether in those closed spaces--how many rooms they will follow--but you can test it out, maybe. I know that when I farm the Teenage Mutant Ninja Rats in that area (the quest from Tanis that opens up after the mission), you can quickly run through the first two rooms and duck into the sewer pipe, which only opens at this time, and those mobs will stop chasing.

That was one advantage of Zero. When you go into his invisibility mode, you can run through some areas, although it doesnt last long enough to get through something like this.
With Salvador, even when I go into the "invincibility" gunzerking mode, you get killed very easily if you try to run the area.

I wish the heads where capped at green maybe blue so when the tables align for an orange you at least have a chance at getting something useful. After getting that I farmed him a few times and didn't get anymore oranges.

I've had him drop the Flakker while farming as Axton. It's one of the worst guns I've tried to use.

Yea, that is one of my pet peeves. With all the power of a PC, would it really be that hard to put in a reasonable save system? BL 2 seems really bad though, because it seems like the most difficult sections are also the ones that have really long stretches without a save point.

If I join peoples games in matchmaking, does it then keep the progress i've made in single player/solo ?

yep. The person you join is the host, so you essentially join their game at whatever stage they are at. Once you leave the game, you go back to your current state, barring any missions that you did not complete together.

If you are both on the same story mission, same level, it would just progress normally.

The main difference is if you have completed a mission, but they are on the same one, you could just do it over with them. You wouldn't fail, or leave it incomplete and then go into your game and have to do it again, for example.

As far as I know, that is the only orange head, which is why it was so weird when I saw it. I reasoned that it was buggy or early code that was never deleted, because it dropped for Sal, who doesn't have it, yet it was tagged as "already unlocked." Of course the normal purple one dropped when Jack went splat and I was able to use that one. The orange one also had the standard "head" skin for the item, unlock Jack's Mask, which actually looks like Jack's Mask.

I'm fine if they'd keep masks at purple--which isn't really a big loss as the only tables you want to try for are orange, pearl, and I suppose the e-tech? They are a different purple shade, so I'm not sure if they are included with regular purples, or get their own category?

I thought Flakker was only available in Torgue drops/vending machines? I haven't tried one, but I've read that it has particular uses--like close-quarters Gaige inside rooms. (eh, pretty much any gun with terrible accuracy, I guess :D)

After going with Double up and Longbow, I liked him alot better. With both dlc level cap raises you can get those and Gemini which I'd like to see.

That would be pretty overpowered wouldn't it? Two Double Up'd turrets plus Longbow would be devastating.

Orange may be what everyone really looks for, but I still remember early on seeing the purple line that comes off the drops and dashing for it to see if I got something good to use only to find out it was a just a head unlock.

At that time the warrior did unless GB took it out of his loot pool. Axton was the first I used going through VH & TVH with a lot of warrior farming at the end of both. When I tried it with Axton at one point I had a psycho running at me. First shots were misses seemed to blow up inbetween us, next weren't any better as he was getting close enough to smack me. I was ready to sell it but looked online to see if there was something I missed about it. The wiki agreed with what my quick test showed, the enemy has to be just the right distance can't be too far or too close to actually take damage. Sold it the next time I played.

I don't have Gaige, so maybe her skills affect it for the better.

Don't forget about the rockets. But I think it really depends on how the turrent damage/life scales for UVH and UVH2 OP levels.

I got the Flakker too and was really excited when I saw the damage. I have read some assertions that it is useful under certain scenarios, but I never use it because it is just too tricky to hit anything.

We got a orange flacker off at loot midget in frost burn canyon and were super excited about it at the time....we never really figured it out though...even in close quarters it seemed like we had a hard time hitting anything.

We just got the Veruca Asault Rifle last night as well as the Slagga in the dust. The Veruca reminds me a little of a Harold the way the shots spread...Has anyone used it much?

The Slagga is nice. I still have mine, even though I haven't used it in a very long time. I probably keep it now only because it took me about 30 kills on that damn redneck to get it. It also got me through most of UVHM and even when in FFYL, it was damn good at helping me kill something quick, when I really don't run around with Launchers.

I recently found an OP 8 Veruca in the eridium chests at the end of Digistruct. Haven't used it really, but it looks fun (after firing some shots at the wall)

Ya...i was reading up on the Veruca and it said fired from the hip it has the standard pattern spread through all shots but if you scope, the spread gets tighter until your last shot of the clip is almost on top of each other.....which would do some major damage.
