Mister Torgue's Campaign of Carnage is set to come out this coming Tuesday (11/20).
Just imagine how much fun it has been for me being under-leveled through a lot of the content.![]()
I didn't care much for Rocket Launchers until I found this Torgue one. What makes it different is that it has the uses less ammo attribute, which will make it sometimes not consume ammo. The biggest problem with rocket launchers is that your max ammo capacity is just so small, and ammo is so rare compared to other types. That attribute makes it much more bearable, and it has a 7-round magazine size (with my talent reducing it). If I'm fighting something like a Super Badass Loader, I might slag it, and run at it just unloading a ton of rockets. Its health just drops like a rock!
I rarely used rocket launchers in the original game, but am using them a lot in this game. Actually, they seem to be the only thing that deals enough damage to take out some of the tougher enemies without using up all your ammo. I have a pretty nice one that deals 60K damage and has a 7 shot magazine. Ammo sure is expensive though, and you dont get much from the pickups in the game. Wish there were some guns that regenerate ammo like in the first game.
Thats one of the things that really pisses me off. While I haven't actually compared prices, I swear late game money quest rewards isn't enough to cover the ammo you used. I don't know why it needs to be so expensive.

I'm not finding it to be a problem at all as I've got about 3.5 million at the moment. I still do buy ammo from time to time, but if I find myself low, I never fill up. I'll go from about 400 SMG ammo to about 900, and hope that I find enough in chests to ensure I'm maxed out.
There are also some areas that have a good amount of chests like Opportunity. If you go there, you should get lots of money.

Well, you just have to pick up junk guns and sell them, as tedious as that may be. It would be nice to have some way to instantly transport back to Sanctuary and sell off your stuff when your inventory gets full, and then transport back without having to quit and fight through all the ememies again. Like a town portal in an RPG.
There are multiple vending machines in every area of the game that will buy your guns. Why do you need to go back to Sanctuary?
I seem to find enough ammo if I use a variety of different weapon types, except that sometimes I run out in a boss battle or when getting mobbed. The lack of ammo does force you to use different weapon types though. Even if you have a great weapon of one particular type, you are pretty much forced to use other types in order to have enough ammo.
I think he's just comparing it to how games like Diablo and Torchlight have town portals that allow you to easily sell items when in the middle of an area. Also, sometimes constantly trekking back to that vending machine is a huge chore. Sometimes, I'm simply keeping too much in my bag (my puny bank is full), and I need to run back often.
I find it especially worse when you find a good weapon, but it uses an obscene amount of ammo. A good Vladof pistol is like that as it's practically a SMG, but pistols have a max capacity of 700 vs. ~1200 for a SMG.
Yea, you are correct about what I meant about going back to sell items. I realize you can sell them at the vending machines, but sometimes you fill up your backpack and it is a pain to either trek back to a machine or try to figure out what to drop if you find new, better items. It also kind of forces you to sell items that you might want to keep, since the backpack and bank together dont really add up to much storage space, and if you keep a lot of items in your backpack, you are forced to make endless trips back to sell stuff.
How many missions are in the DLC Booty? I only did a few, and can't find anymore. There wasn't a boss or anything? There are not more "!" around where you talk to someone and get more missions. And the board is empty as well.

You'll be singing a different song after hyperious kicks your ass for the 10th time in a row. You just lost half your money to deaths, and the other half restocking your ammo at the vending machine for your next run because none drops during the fight.
Finally was able to solo him today after dozens of tries experimenting with different setups.
