I just finished the first Borderlands and picked up BL2 from GMG for $35. Overall I have to admit that I found the first one a bit more fun to play single player for some reason. That and why did they have to ruin what was a pretty good interface this time around? Looking at and switching equipment sucks in BL2 compared to BL1. I am hoping somebody can mod it to be more like BL1.

The biggest change is how it went from a single UI pane to this weird split pane paradigm that requires you to shift between said panes. One thing that boggles my mind is how TAB doesn't shift between tabs on the PC, but LB and RB do it on the console. How do you overlook that? :confused:

Maybe I'm just too picky of a gamer? Maybe the people in Texas are terrible at play testing? Gearbox does do play testing, but the people have to be willing to travel to their office in Texas. :hmm:

With mouse & KB the backpack UI is definitely harder to use in BL2 than in BL1.

Mouse-based focus is also more erratic for me, and I now use the arrow keys to select items to sell so the focus won't decide to jump from a trash item to my favorite SMG.

Thanks! I only redeemed the first code from Twitter. I didn't know facebook codes was different. I just made it in time for the second key. Both from Gearbox and Facebook!

So, I had over 30 golden keys, and I decided to use three of them (still haven't redeemed the two latest codes either). The first two redeems were shields and the last one was two pistols. Everything beat the pants off of what I had, which was certainly nice. Now I can stop using that assault rifle as the one Jakobs pistol that I got has around 1.8x as much damage. :p

EDIT:

It has some crazy shockwave effect whenever it hits that just seems to deal damage to... oh, just about everything. :eek:

Hmm is it just me or does Arid Nexus: Badlands not show up on the Fast Travel system? It isn't one of those "U-Turn" style ones that you can't go back to... or at least it doesn't have that graphic. Is it just me or does it not show up for anyone else?
