I'm running on high, and it's fine.
System specs, if you don't mind? I'm assuming I won't have any issues on my sig rig (vsync OFF, fwiw), but just curious.

The pertinent details are i5-2500k and GeForce GTX 680.
Is a 560 OC faster than a 660 stock?
Is an AMD hex core 3400 the same as in i5 quad core 3200?
Let me just say that Anandtech's Bench tool is your friend.
560 vs 660:

I'm not sure about this comparison, because I can't find an 8-core 3400. However, that many cores won't matter in Borderlands 2. Intel has had the IPC lead for quite awhile though.
Or you could skip the irrelevant side quests that you don't like and enjoy the story...as others have said, it's pretty easy to run past things you're not interested in if you don't feel like reclearing areas.
looks like zero has very few health regen skills...kinda sucks. are there shields that will regenerate health?
Also what are you guys pointing point in for the Commando? seems all 3 trees has enhancements on the gun and on you. why they spread it out like that and not concentrate all gun related skills in one tree, and personal fighting skills on separate tree I don't know. I want to try out a turret build but also want the nuclear turret, seems they are all over the place for a pure turret build to work.
Isnt Hex a six sided figure? So I think Hex is a 6 core...
Is it me or BL2 feels a little tougher than the first one? I actually got killed fighting the robots outside trying to rescue Ronin. This is kinda new, in first Borderlands, I feel overpowered most of the time. Don't get me wrong I like it, it makes the FPS better than the last one.

I worked it out this morning so that I could get rockets and a second turret, but unfortunately it doesn't look like you can get a turret with all the abilities. Otherwise, its a nuke turret, or turret with 2 guns, two turrets with one gun each. You have to really plan ahead. I guess you could get your 50 skill points, and respec a couple of times to find a combo that works. I figure rockets are the quickest and best upgrade I can get for the turret, although I think getting the second turret can be had for around the same amount of skill points, and could be just as useful. But the stuff that I already added to the turret on the way to rockets has already made it pretty deadly. It can kill two level 10 psycho marauders and a few level 7 regulars by itself, with plenty left on the timer.
I find it tougher than BL1 for sure
Not sure what kind of build people are using for Salvador but it has been pumping duration and lowering cooldown time on the Gunzerking skill all the way for me. That skill has been a huge life saver.
I actually went through a portion of the game dual wielding sniper rifles, worked pretty good.
yes I got on the char planner earlier been playing w/ it for a bit, still can't seem to get a point allocation that max out the turret. It seems I have to choose either turrent w/ 2x guns or turret w/ 2 guns as you suggested. But I also wanna make my commando a real killer as well. so many skills I want but just not enough points to go around. gonna play with the tree more see if I can come out w/ a good compromise.
I didn't realize you just had to spend 5 points per level, not 5 in one skill.
Actually, your total # of points spent in a single tree determines when specific tiers of the tree are unlocked. For example, you could spend 10 points in the first tier of a tree (maxing 2 skills), and (unlock) go directly to the third tier, completely bypassing the second. In case two level 1 skills are more appealing than taking something in the 2nd tier, you can do that, and unlock the third.
Do you have a source for this? Not that I don't believe you, but I can't seem to do it using the online skill calculator, and want to know what the deal is.
EDIT: Oh, never mind. I see what you are saying. Thanks, that might change things.
Wow...now I see what I've been missing by leaving it on low. Here's a link to the comparison:

Need to try it on high when I get home.
