I only use the Torque assault rifles for the splody goodness, the others never seem to work as well as pistols or SMGs, especially AR elementals with the 6% chance (gah!)

I'm at a (sad) 73 hours alreadyand I've found 3, I think. Found the maggie at level 11 or 12? and one of the gunarang variants--corrosive--on my Siren--that later level map with the 3 bandit clans (where you do the Brick mission to raise the flags)
...I'm pretty sure I have some other orange pistol. maybe I am counting the gunarang twice :hmm:
then in 2nd tier was kinetic reflection.
I actually think Assault Rifles suck in this game compared to BL1. In BL1 assault rifles often had really high accuracy, like 92+, where in this game they're mostly in the 80's, especially if they're full autos. Do you not remember the Ogre from BL1? Or especially the Atlas Ogre; that thing was nuts! (I never got one, but I saw it in action) It seems most pistols in BL2 are equal to or better than Assault Rifles, usually rivaling their accuracy, with comparable damage, faster reload speeds, and the only thing they sometimes come up short in is magazine size.
You know, with a class mod, it is possible to get +10 Kinectic Reflection, which gives you 100% damage reduction and 200% damage done on reflected shots.Right now, I have 90% damage reduction and 180% damage done. I was so happy when I found this thing.
Is the Ogre the one that drops from that boss just outside of the roadway from the main outpost in the Knoxx DLC? ...the boss under the roadway that comes out of the garage?I don't think I ever had an Ogre, but I do know what you mean by less accurate. The removal of scopes as a randomized gun part has definitely hurt assault rifles the most as they usually served as dual-purpose sniper rifles... well, for anyone that lacked The Invader.I actually had an assault rifle in Borderlands that would fire every shot while zoomed in, and it had high accuracy. It pretty much annihilated everything.
Anyway! The thing is that I don't really use assault rifles as wannabe sniper rifles anymore. I mostly use them for explosive effects as SMGs don't seem to have that many good elemental variants as they used to. I like the Torgue lobbing assault rifles as they're great on shielded targets (like the Nomads mentioned earlier). I have a great fire-based Eridium assault rifle that just tears up humanoids. Normal assault rifles are usually okay, but their biggest downfall is usually their reload time. The assault rifle might be slightly more powerful than a SMG, but the reload time is much worse.

I farmed that a couple of times and got a few decent drops. IIRC, that AR had the single mag that only emptied when you ran out of bullets. Not sure if was Ogre, though.

Does anyone play Borderlands 2 with SLI? If I leave PhysX turned on, I get this terrible black banding popping up all over my screen, but if I turn PhysX off, the game runs fine. Albeit, I'm not sure if 40% utilization on both GPUs is really all that adequate.
EDIT:
Yeah, it only seems to be an issue with Borderlands 2 as I tried out Arkham Asylum and I had no problems with PhysX. Although, Arkham Asylum barely pushes my GPUs (~40-50%) where Borderlands tends to do a bit more when PhysX is enabled (~70-85%).

What cards are you using? Can you turn off SLI for BL2 and use the second gpu for physx only?
I play with SLI, but I use a dedicated GTX 460 PhysX card and I've never seen that problem at all.
PhysX on high in BL2 is buggy though I will say.
My brother just went from 1 GTX580 to 2 with no problems...
I have never had any issues with physx except in opportunity where I crashed with it on high but didn't crash once if i set it on low, everywhere else it works fine.
I ran a quick check remotely, and everything appeared fine. Although, the big difference was that I have to run in windowed mode rather than full screen. I'll have to try it again tonight and see if windowed mode will fix the problem.
Running in windowed mode has it's own problem though, as it lowers your frame rate.
Hey Guys....Quick question on UVHM and DLC's.
We've completed all missions/sidemissions in TVHM. On the DLC's we've Completed Carnage/Sir Hammerlock and Pirate Booty in that order except for the bosses....Pirate Booty was so easy, we're level 55 that we're thinking of palying Tiny tina's DLC in UVHM.
If we switch to UVHM it will re-set the DLC's as well....right? I ask because we have not been able to kill Pete or the hammerlock boss. So if it re-sets in UVHM, we'll have to run through the entire DLC in UVHM to get back to them which would knida suck but I'm hoping we'll get some more lvl 55 weapons to make it easier....
Am I right in my assumption?
PAX Australia was a blast! Among the major announcements at our Inside Gearbox Software panel was the revelation of the upcoming Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2: Digistruct Peak Challenge for Borderlands 2 (which will raise the level cap to 72) and new downloadable packs for Borderlands 2 that will each add a new quest leading to a uniquely-themed boss fight starting this fall, along with a discussion of our recent Homeworld acquisition and plans plus this year's Community Day.
FYI, more new stuff coming:

I am just starting the dlcs and my understandind is that you can switch between difficulties just like in the regular game..
Interesting....I didn't even know you could do that in the regular game.
How does that work cause if we start UVHM, it wont put us where we are at in TVHM will it? It will start a new game minus the tutorial stuff, right?
Thanks

I'm guessing that this is a limited use key like the other ones that he has posted.
