Zero is a ton of fun to play as. Also averaging 150fps with every setting maxed and physx on high. Seems like it's not even making my system work at all heh.

have you guys discovered any good spots for chest runs yet? so far the only spot I think is good for that is the place where the midget riding bullymonger is. I kept redoing that place a few times cause there's a high level master chest in the room where he jump out.

so what does everyone's commando tree look like?

Current and projected skill tree.

Kinda sucks that you cant mix and match a bit more. They stuck some of the turret stuff in other categories, but you have to burn through too many skill points to get to them.

How do you display FPS ingame, or do you need fraps?

You can use Fraps, but I would suggest MSI Afterburner, cause its free. Just download it and start the MSI On Screen Display server, and you can put the counter wherever you want, change the color, etc.

You get it for pre-ordering the game as part of the premiere club.

That must not be the only way, as I've also gotten another one each day I've played so I have 3 now. Not entirely sure what's going on but I won't complain. Haven't used them yet though.

looks good...I was thinking about staying away from survival and focusing on turret as well.

can't get the game to work, like many other people on the Gearbox forums. i click "Play" on the launcher and nothing happens. i uninstalled all VC++ redist's and .NET 4 client, reinstalled everything, downloaded from MS website...short of a fresh Win7 install i have tried everything. maybe it's a 64Bit OS problem?

Sorry... Running Win 7 64 and install and run is fine.

I've been using the sniper rifle that Hammerlock gave me for awhile. Frankly, all the weapons that I get have no scope and/or no accuracy. Back in Borderlands, I was really picky about my guns being accurate... even my Combustion Hellfire had to be accurate and have a scope.

n7, have they changed how accuracy works in the game? I'm hoping that I'm not wasting my badass ranks on accuracy. :$

I would have suspected that you would be fine, but the game certain wouldn't look good. Have you tried lowering the resolution? It's not the best solution, but it should help quite a bit.

EDIT:

Oh I almost forgot... don't forget to look at the badass challenges. Each area has challenges that award badass rank(s).

Played a LOT last night. I think the accuracy is a LOT diff here than in BL1. I too was all about ACC..... Here (GRANTED EARLY ON) I watch my precious bullets miss high left or low right.

And iron sight aiming (I USED to love pistols... NOT in this game so far). I know I am getting old but DAMN.... If it DONT have a scope, I am shooting from the hip. Anyone else having that issue?

That said, I'm also finding this quite a bit tougher than the first one was to solo. The regular packs of enemies aren't too bad but the bosses have been pretty rough. I also haven't been incredibly overleveled for missions like in the first one. I didn't go out of my way to level up either, but in the first one I always seemed to be 5 levels or so above the next mission once things got going. So far the biggest gap I've seen is 3, so if that changes it at least has taken longer than the first one.

...

I'd say combat is much more tactical. You have to be more aware of your surroundings, what it is your fighting, not to mention the gun your using in some cases. Fighting Goliaths or using Tediore weapons for example.

Overall it makes the game much deeper and enjoyable, but part of me misses the simplicity of the original sometimes.

Also, one other thing I meant to mention earlier is, I really like music in this game.

Accuracy as a stat not on the weapon card actually affected your accuracy pool. If I remember correctly, it referred to how much your accuracy could vary with repeated firing.

Where do I see if I still have it? I feel like I may have used it without realizing.:(

Badass bonus screen will display the key icon and the (x1) near the bottom left side

Yep that's why I only use weapons with a scope except for shotguns. However, since I'm playing Zero I find that sniping what you can then playing cover and fire (with the bonus for firing sniper rifles from the hip and the melee dmg bonus after successful shot) and running in for a melee kill is the best method right now.

Anyone playing Zero care to post their builds? I'm going for this:

But not sure what to do with last 2 points. Play style is obviously sniper heavy, occasionally shooting from the hip while moving and in traffic, and then using the melee execute skill in tough spots. Thoughts?

That's pretty much how I setup my zero almost exactly except I put a point in the kunai and viper. Kunai can mark a target and doesn't break your deception. I like viper because I've gotten a ton of double criticals and since my second shot gets a crit bonus from successive sniper crits...big dmg.
