Borderlands 2 release date and preorder

I'm tempted to pre-order BL2 at GameStop just to get the Creature Slaughter Dome. I saw it on the community day live stream and it looks fun.

Prior games have been midnight EST, 9PM PST.

I bought the first Borderlands on Steam a few months ago. Didn't like it that much. I wonder if the second one will be much better...

I know this is a stupid question and that I have to decide for myself, but still it would be great hearing what others have to say....

For right now, yes. There has been a lot of talk along the lines of "seeing if we can release it later for everyone else", but there's been nothing definitive. It's kind of odd, because Randy was really stressing how much Gamestop was an integral part of bringing that extra bonus DLC to us. That seems a lot different from the usual way of how these things just feel like a contrived way to screw over the consumer. I guess it makes sense because no other retailer (that I've seen) has any extra pre-order content.

Gah thanks for the heads up on shipping late from Amazon. Just noticed both of mine are not expected on the 21st because my old Bank of America debit card did not go through, (they sent everyone new ones in june or something and i prerodered in May).

Spent 20 mins talking to someone in India that was of no help, they could not seem to understand that i preordered in May, with release day delivery plus i have had prime for 3 years. So they both better be here tomorrow or i am going to be pissed.

Can you preorder from gamestop to get the code, then return the game?

Its shady but want the dome and already dropped $300 on this game.

I believe that works since I don't think they don't check whether a code has been used. However, I wouldn't do it. I was planning on just giving the extra copy to a friend or something. Doing that can also get you a free golden key.

Like you said its shady so I'd say no.

Besides they already have alot of post game content already scheduled. The mechromancer comes out in a month, and I think all 4 DLCs are supposed to be available by June 13th. Also my guess is that the creature dome will be available to everyone at some point. Not to mention the Bad Ass rank system, and the new raid boss sounds more difficult than Crawermax (at least I hope!), so hopefully there will be enough content to keep you busy.

really wanna buy this game, but i'm too tied up in diablo 3 and WoW right now...and with pandaria coming out I'm gonna need to dedicate myself to that. However, I will play this eventually and it looks amazing. love the first one.

Well i preordered a xbox version also from Gamestop for the Dome preorder code. I may or may not keep both versions we will see.

I am a bit jealous i can't play my ultimate loot edition PC version until after 5 pm tomorrow.
