Random BSOD's could only be memory. The only thing I can think of, then, is to try another brand of memory, or another type of the same brand, one wich you know that is compatible with your mobo, for sure. Also, you should test it with a clean install(format) because your system files may be corrupted.

Try Abit forums for your specific chipset. There you'll probably find issues that are specific to you model. My NF7 for example works best when you install memory models from DIMM3 to DIMM1. Such things that you probably won't find in "generic" forums :p

Well, I called Kingston and they said my memory was correct for the mobo. They even sent me another stick..... So I've tried 2 different sticks of Kingston and the Elixer

dude, if you did all the things I said and couldn't find *any* clue, I don't know what else to do. It must be something very specific of your hardware. The last thing you can try is the forums for each manufacturer of your mobo, hd, chipset, and add-on cards. Wish you luck :(

I would at least try the step-by-step installation once again. If you do it right, it should take at least a week(running all full tests for each modification). You can try and research about the errors you're getting in eventviewer too.

They usually refer to Win32k.sys. Sometimes they say something like IRQL_EQUAL_OR_LESSER or something similar to that. My first instinct was maybe a irq conflict. I checked and it showed none. So I pulled the only PCI card that I had installed in the computer and it still kept happening. The system is a p4 2.4ghz with 1gb of ram. When this started I had one stick of 512mb kingston memory and I've since added another 512mb of Elixir memory. I've ran memtest on the memory and reported no errors. I'm really not sure what else to try. It's getting quite frustrating.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Michael

Nags,

Get me another dump per our PM's and let me know the filename when you put it on my FTP server and I'll look at it for you.

I even got a blue screen while compressing the file the first time. Latley they've all been driver related but they NEVER tell me what driver.
