it was early morning/late at night, so I'm guessing it could have been chilly?

certainly possible...

There was a lot of expensive jewelery found on the body. Obviously the thug(ette) had been breaking into multiple homes that evening.

Had they had access to more guns she would have been able to defend herself...

I think he's gonna be found guilty of this because as far as his claim he thought she was a burglar, he doesn't have a leg to stand on.

Recent media interviews with Pistorius revealed that he kept an assortment of weapons in his home. "Cricket and baseball bats lay behind the door, a pistol by his bed and a machine gun by a window"

Bahaha Who doesn't have a cricket bat. I watch tv bath sleep piss shit mow the lawn with my 9mm. Machine part is bullshit as only law enforcement and army have one.

Now it was in a gated community. He would have slept more at ease if they had Captain Crime Stop George Zimmerman there to patrol it.

There are reports that there were previous domestic incidents with these two, and a witness heard some kind of fracas prior to the shooting. Sounds like this may in fact have been murder and not a case of mistaken identity.

He must be quite a marksman to shoot someone in the head 4 times without giving a second to identify the target.
Yeah, not buying the mistaken identity either.......

Dunno, I'm not going to say I believe he murdered her - it's certainly possible. Did he have a flashlight? Was it just dark in the house and he shot at a silhouette?

I'm a firm believer in the "beyond a reasonable doubt" form of justice though. Better that 10 guilty people go free than one innocent be put away.

I am too, but it's really just an opinion that I'm leaning toward based on initial evidence. I'll gladly let the the courts decide based on all of the evdience.

We don't have a jury. A judge weighs the evidence then reach a verdict.

Agreed - at a guess the guy was either a complete idiot, or had malicious intent.

Well, my statement still applies. Rather 10 guilty go free than 1 innocent be condemned. I'm just stating my generic views on justice (which is somewhat off topic and a discussion to be had in another thread, perhaps :) )

I know what you meant just informed how the justice system works as its easier to convince 1 out 10 people than a single person. Further forensics is something like non existence here. In some high profile cases it gets use which make it unfortunate for him. If it was a nobody they would not bother

Big deal. Do we get similar sensationalist reportage every time someone else gets shot? Even in death, the chick is worshiped just because she's semi-hot.
