Loved the movie, but it makes you wonder if the people who mutilate the bodies of us soldiers ever stop and wonder "why?"

Naw, they don't think like us. Some people have too much hate in their hearts.

Yeah, but the fact is, theyre still human, and (theoretically) should still have conflicting emotions. Still, its situations like BHD that show not only the courage and bravery that humans are capable of, but also the atrocious.

The military wasn't the one making the bad decisions. It was the politicians *cough*Clinton*cough* in D.C.

it wasn't clinton, well sort of. it was more like the senate... they refused the request for bradleys and ac130u's, saying something about it would make it look like a full out war...

Reminds me of Zulu when Michael Caine and that small band of Brits were fending off a four thousand strong Zulu force and won.

Read the credits. We lost all of a dozen soldiers. They lost thousands and thousands and thousands.

which is understandable...it was one thing for it to be an operation...but bringing heavy machinery like that willmake it look like so much more!

I suggest you guys read the full pentagon report, and then the report made my General William Garrison (rt) taking full responsiblity to the actions that took place on oct 3 1993 as i did...before you make any opinion

Anyways..GREAT! to see so many BHD fans here...i have actually watched that movie over 80 times (wore out the VHS tape and had to buy the deluxe 3 disk DVD, def worth it IMO)

anyways ive written to some of the soliders still in the military, and it was very interesting to get responces from them and to hear some things that you didnt know from the book/movie/documentary/pentagon released transcripts and videos

anyway if I could live up to be half of a man that gary gordon and randy shugart were i'd die a happy man...

actually we were not, Operation Restore Hope was serperate from Task Force Ranger...while they provided support they were on totally different missions and did not have to adhere to the UN, as they were controlled by the US only...originally General Howe asked for a small team of SFOD-Delta operators, and was surpsired when he got a whole battalion of Rangers and C-squadron of delta

How realistic is that movie as far as how the operatives move and things like that? Not as far as realistic per the hsitory of that specific event, but as far as the guys running around the buildings and all that stuff?
